Hi,

Played some tourneys tonite and in one was sat with 2 x players whose names I recognised as being V. experienced on the site.  I noticed the ranges they raised with was (for me ) quite wide.  Found out as they raised 3/4 x BB  in most (if not every) hand early doors and when I twigged I thought I'd have a look. :-)

An example, first level hands raising 3/4 x BB with 89s/QJo/small pair.  I was wondering if this is the norm for experienced players or are they seeking to dominate the table early and steal chips? As it turned out none of the 3 of us cashed.

I do know I've got a problem with my bet sizing at the moment (thanks Dohhhh) but eager to learn!

TIA

They are all valid raising hands in a 6max game, especially from mid position onwards.  Even for me and i'm a massive nit :)
