Cash for Points System

I play poker on here quite a bit and granted it's not top high stakes but I have been struggling to make 1000 points for £15.

Now it's lovely to be rewarded for time spent at the tables but I'm just wondering, how/what stakes/amount of time people are playing to reach higher, it seems to me like a thankless task trying to acheive anything higher than the 1000 points Im struggling to get.

If people are earning more than 2000 points a month, can you just let me know how many points you are acheiving and for how long/stakes your playing, as they say money makes money but I'd like to know at what time/cost

Cheers in advance, just something I've been wondering

If you want to earn good cash for points you need to play either a lot of SnG's or multi table cash. I'm on a break at the moment, but when I play I do 6 tables of 25p/50p for 2 hours and make about 200 points. I used to make 10 - 12k points a month but now its more like 6.

Playing low stakes or MTT's is pretty useless for cash for points

The Main Events each evening offer the best c4p at mo for £20 buy in ones you get 50 points. For higher buy-ins also is more than £1= 1 point. If you can't afford to buy direct, satellite in and you get the points for satelite and Main Event.

well thats 2 things that will rule me out, I max 2 multitable and I dont play for those higher stakes, was just interested to hear what the guys making the big points actually play, 2hrs for 200 points is good going but worthless it seems at micro stakes.

I started playing SnG's today properly for the 1st time, £5 DYM which offer i think 7 poker points and 5 league points, it could be the other way around (and of course you have to win), I would have to play a massive amount then at that level to increase my points value

Cheers Mattless, I understand the MTT points, just you would have to continuously win or place in every tourney to make that fruitful which is highly unlikely, I only just about manage to get 2 decent cashes a month in an MTT and if I'm lucky a final table at one of the main events

DYM's are good way to rack up the points, especially if you can multi table them, 1k points playing 2x £5.50 DYM's should be pretty easy, When I played DYM's I would 4 table the £3.30's and made 2k easily.

Not sure if your aware but you get the poker points regardless if you win or loose.  Its only the league points that are gained by winning.

I think u get 10points for every £1 of buy in fee u pay eg...£11 sng £10prize pool and £1 fee = 10points..however if u also cash in the sng..do u get points on top of the 10p

Yeah I might have got confused on the SnG situation the cause if you dont make the top 3 and get knocked out it doesnt say you get any points so I assume they come for the 'buy in', where as when you finish in the top 3 it states you poker points and poker league points.

I'm assuming playing the 5.50 DYM you need to play around 120 a month to get 1000 points, thats a big bank roll

if you want to make a decent amount of points you need to multitable cash 50nl+. I think i make something like 450pts per hour.

You need to play 200 £5 DYM to get 1000 Poker points. League points do not count toward your cash 4 points total

think its easier with a bigger br, i easily play between 7-10 dyms in about 3-4 hrs, would only take you a couple of weeks if u did that everynight. ofc u have to win aswell. :)

Thanks SPT but unless you lucky enough to sat in cheap for all of them then the buy ins arent worth it for cash for points, plus if your trying to sat you way in and dont quali you have no cash to play for and no points as such, MTT's cant be the best way to get points unless Im missing something, I have been known to be a bit slow lol
