Was just wondering how the cash tables got their names. Just seen a table called Dewsbury, and being from Dewsbury, was wondering how it got it's name.
How about a 'work in the community' comp, list the guys who do the most for the community then we vote or something. Or all the guys who do stuff for the community get a freeroll with the winner getting a table named after them.
I am thinking Red_Scouse but I am sure there are others who do stuff that I am not quite so aware of.
You could start a thread for suggestions of players who do a lot for the community and the reason, then throw them in a freeroll for the 'honour'
Make it a 10 seater though, would be good to join the red_scouse table in the evening to play some regulars

Will someone please answer the original question. Where do the current table names come form. PLEASE!!!!!!!! Posted by 68Trebor
The story goes something like this...........
In about a 1825, a young American gambler came over to visit England. His reputation went before him and was declared a wanted man as soon as he set foot on land. In the coming 18 months he travelled the length of the United Kingdom conning his way from village to village and getting more and more of a scoundrel reputation. Every one of these towns increased his bounty on his head until he was worth more than most people earned in a year.
He eluded capture by devious means and became a bit of a hero to all the underworld. Rumour has it that he finally settled down in the small village of Ilkeston. No one knows quite what happened after this period.
Hence, all cash tables denote a name of a place where this villain went.
I think his name was Kent Dallony. Rumour has it that he still lurks on poker tables nowadays and dishes out Bad Beats like confetti.
We'll happily run a competition for the chance to have a table named after you for a while So we are offering the prize, you tell us what the competition should be to decide the winner! Suggestions for the competition? Thanks Sky Poker Team Posted by Sky_Poker
Cool, thanks.
I suggest that the cash table is highlighted at the top for a week and at the stakes that the person who wins normally plays. maybe this could be shown on m/c too?
I like the idea of a weekly mtt, at a stake most can afford, say £2-5, where the winner gets their own cash table for a week.

used to kinda tilt me that Maidenhead is a 2p/4p while some total dumps are a lot higher up in stakes!!!
Believe me Dewsbury is no city
But how do they choose which places. There must be a system or formula and I want to know it, I will not sleep until I do.
Just a siilly idea but it would be great if some of the cash tables were named after forum members.
Maybe run a comp to get a table named after you.
Id quite like to play at table Dohhhhhhh, or table Jaegerbomb, or even table Greghogg!
get a table orford going too. that table would ALWAYS be full of people waiting for the man himself to turn up.
