You're trying to blame bad luck on all these hands but in some of the hands, your play has allowed them the option. 10bbs and a pp is always a shove or fold for me, same as Ak and 10bb's. Sometimes in poker you can play a hand perfect and still lose. You make your own luck sometimes but to continually blame bad luck for losing when your play could make a difference to the outcome of the hand is a leak in your game.
LOL RAISE- are my assements of his play wide of the mark or not too far away from optimal? Burnshortz- please post a couple of these hands in the pokerclinic and see what the others have to say

what do you mean?? so you are saying that if i had just shoved with these hands and got called you think the cards would have come different to what they did otherwise?? i still dont get you, if you have 22 vs AK allin pre then the 22 is still ahead no matter which way you look at it.
Look at the AK hand again. If you had shoved there, the K9 isn't calling and you take down a pot uncontested. If you take a pot down uncontested, you're never going to be out drawn and lose. If he calls with K9 then you've got him dominated and then it's unlucky if he beats you. But as played, he got to see it relatively cheap because of your play and all the money went in with you behind. This what I'm am trying to get across to you, your play has had a direct outcome on the result of the hand, not bad luck. If you get it all in pre with AK vs 22 is as good a spot against a pp as you can get but you need to win races to stay in a tournament. That is the luck element of poker.

yes and i could do with some. it dosent matter how a hand is played when you go allin you are either ahead or behind now if you go through the hands on here you will see that when i was ahead I LOST, when i was behind with outs I LOST. you still seem to have a hard time grasping that concept.
In Response to Re: luck =profit simple : you seem to like talking about this hand, he could so easily be betting with nothing there. in you world do you make that call pre with K9???? Posted by BURNShurtz
In my world,on the button in an unopened pot I'd be raising with K9. In my world ,Id be calling your small raise in position if I'd limped(I never limp on the buttonFTW) In my world, I'd be shoving with AK and 10bb's especially with a limper.

I mention this a lot because it epitomises what's wrong with your game. He has hasn't bet,he's limped on the button with K9 off.You have 10 bb's and AK,there's no better spot to shove them in. You're saying it's bad luck that you lost that hand when in reality it's bad play. Please post it in the clinic and see what others have to say.

so i should of shoved pre with all the other hands i lost too??
No,played it well. Just unlucky that on the flop he has straight and flush draws and unless you shove no bet is gonna shake him(he still might call and you're never shoving in that spot anyway). On the turn the A is really unlucky for you but it's not because you've played bad but because in this hand you've got unlucky. Keep playing like that and you'll get the money more times than you dont. It's a straight forward cooler.
