Hi. Just a question about the download. Basically my old laptop is slowing down with age and i was just wondering whether the skypoker download would be quicker rather than running sky poker through explorer? I used to be able to play 3 or 4 tables at once 4/5 months ago but now i am struggling to run one table. Its annoying me no end and costing me money as i sometimes have to restart explorer due to it locking up on me mid game and it takes absolutely ages sometimes. I have defragged and also used all of the Norton software to quicken it up a bit, and it seems to have helped a bit.
Basically, would the download help me? If not, any suggestions would be welcome? The laptop is approximately 5-7 years old, is it just time to buy a new improved one? Please bear in mind i am a Yorkshire man and am extremely tight! ;-)

It's also not brilliant at picking up malware on your system.
As for using the download, then yes I think it will be quicker as you can just have that running and close your internet browser.
Any recommendation for anti virus software to replace Norton? I am clueless on this sort of stuff. Norton is due for renewal in a couple of weeks anyway so if i delete this from my desktop, what do you recommend?
Kaspersky is excellent but you have to pay for it.
I'd also recommend you to download and install Spybot and spyware blaster. Then once you've installed these run them both at regular intervals.
These are both free to use too, just make sure you download from the official sites. They should be the first sites to appear under the sponsored searches in Google.
One idea is it could have some kind of pop up blocker enabled that's stopping the tables from opening.
Tournament tables not launching in google chrome will almost certainly be pop up blocker related.
That’s one of the benefits of using the download client – pop up blockers will never be a problem.
I'd recommend you give the download client a go - it will be smoother and benefits from better table focusing - useful when multi-tabling with overlapping windows.
If you prefer to stay on chrome then you will need to allow pop ups, there’s a few ways to do it – the following can be done without you having to actually play on the site (it's a bit long winded i'm afraid)
1) Click the 'spanner' icon in the top right corner
2) Select Options
3) On the left hand menu click 'under the bonnet'
4) At the top under 'privacy' choose 'content settings'
5) Under the 'popups' section choose 'Manage Exceptions'6) In the text box type www.skypoker.com (screenshot below)7) Left click in the space below the page, this will then save the setting Google chrome will no longer block tournament tables launching.
Kind Regards
