Was in the casino last night playing a cash game against a muppet that would play any 2 cards. He raised pre flop and i reraised him on the bubble with Ace King suited. He called.

Flop came Ace jack 5 rainbow.

He checked and i made a bet which he called.

turn was a 3. again he check and i bet which he called.

The river was a another 3 again he check and i bet which he called.

Turns out he had jack 5 offsuit and beat my ak.

Could not believe he called a reraise pre flop with his hand and he never even had position.

What could i have done better?

If thats the case you should have won the hand as you had Aces and 3's and he only had Jacks and 5's.

lol your never getting people off hands at live 1/2 everyone loves to see flops the only way is raising massive pre and just shoving the flop other than that people will call you down with anything and he was probably just reppin the jackson 5 by playing J5 :)

You played it fine, just unlucky that he hit 2 pair on the flop.

Ul should be in PC section though, not alot u can do if someone with j5 off calls a good raise pre. obviously you want him to call but unfortunately he got lucky this time move on, if your really worried maybe your playing out of your role?

also you said you were on the bubble but cash game how?

I was about to ask the same question tbf, but figured he must have meant button I guess.

I'd be very tempted to value bet river here, but after calling the 3 bet pre then two streets I think Im likely to check it back on the river.  If he has any sense he's folding a weaker A.  But in likelyhood your only getting called by a better hand (or a much worse hand that got lucky).

He takes a strange line check calling.  In a way you should be glad he is so bad because this hand may have cost you alot more against somebody who got busy straight off the flop.

    UL tho bud.

On a side note the majority of my game is Live MTT & cash.  Youre going to love this type of player over time.  You play your hand well as long as the bet sizes were solid.  Just UL, you'll crush the type next time.

How can you say 3 bet bigger pre when you dont know what he bet?

Maybe he made it pretty big + makes it to big he never gets a customer.

You cant just blindly say 3 bet bigger pre and bet bigger post flop............

villain opened for 6, hero 3bet to 15. I think making it 21 is better here (I'm assuming about 100BB or more deep)

he doesnt give sizing after that, I just said keep betting big

He would obv get better comments on sizing if he posted hand properly with all bets and also said how deep they were
