Bottom set.....

I've been told on a number of occasions to be prepared to go bust in a set over set situation and indeed I cant remember the last time I was crushed that way.

So, once I'd put that aside my consideration was the flush draw. So with this in mind was I wrong to call his all-in?

TBF ZEDS it is a bonkers post.  Only folding with a massive soul read, bad poker even then.

You should never really be thinking of folding on such a dry board, you have the 3rd nuts bud, snap him off and enjoy it.

Right, well first of all you answered your own question- always go broke set over set (or at least, almost always- there's very few absolutes in poker. You can say always go broke at NL4 with a set in fair certainty though).

If you want to examine it a little closer though, villain is in BB. He is extremely unlikely with 4 limpers to check behind with TT, and if he flops top set he's then relatively unlikely to lead out- someone else would probably do the betting for him. So the only hand beating you here realistically is 44, and again- he's more likely to check seeing as he didn't raise pre.

He has all kinds of 2 pair combos, flush+straight draws and even A10 type hands he's gone bonkers with. Your set crushes virtually his entire range, because I really don't see him having sets here almost ever.

I agree with a slightly bigger flop raise though, maybe to 80p or so. That really is nitpicking, but every little helps.

    Er.

    Always call.

If you think he has a flush draw, why would you ever consider folding?

As you said too, set over set is an unavoidable hit.

Keep getting it in with sets and watch the ££'s roll in.

I think he's seriously concerned by the overset with the flop 3 bet jam.  Which is a moot worry IMO
