Sky Poker Podcast

It's time for Sky Poker to keep up with the times and launch a podcast.

I listen to about half a dozen poker podcasts regularly, I'd love to add 'The Sky Poker Podcast' to that list. There's a gap in the market for a quality podcast that covers the UK poker scene, something along the lines of the 2P2 Pokercast. Sky could do a great job with their existing team of established presenters and analysts. Sky get loads of big names in the studio, there's no reason why they get as many, if not more, to do audio interviews. Ideally a podcast would be weekly, though a monthly series would be a good start and a way to test the market.

If such a podcast took off and became popular with UK poker players it would be a great advert for the site.

I love the idea.  Obviously don't know if it's workable but if it is a podcast in the style of the old Club show that would be tremendous.

    Hi,

Why do you want a podcast while you can access a full TV channel ?

I listen to podcasts while I'm working/traveling. They're rapidly growing in popularity across all interests, most major poker websites have them now. Poker News are putting out a very good daily WSOP podcast at the moment.

    Hi GaryQQQ,

I like the idea a lot. However, I think there will be problems finding staff/resources and funds for this kind of thing.

If it is something we can fit in, rest assured we will put it forward.

    Cheers,
    Jordan
