Person in this hand had been very dodgy, would be aggressive pre but also folded some standard any call hand earlier vs shortstack with 10-1 odds or more to a min bet very bizzare. Because i hadn't played with the villain for long i didnt really have any showdown hands from him what do you do here?

That minraise on the flop, is he just testing you for the bare minimum or does he have something massive and is trying to build the pot, hard to say without reads.

The check on turn is ok as I presume you're in check call mode now, the bet he makes will commit you hence it's all or nothing at this point.

Defo fold for me, AK/AQ/A10 all beat you, only really beat A9/A8 - would he play them that strong ?

You've got 17 bb's if you fold and for me can easily find a much better spot to get them in.

Gran torino i think you have misread due to stupid HH, i have bet small blind on bb 23k is just over a min raise which is sufficient at this stage of the tournament although if others think not enough aswell fairplay

2.3 BB raise so good bet sizing imo

I dont like 2.3X oop bvb v a probable fish. its prob not bad to make it that size, but I prefer bigger in this spot, especially if you are opening sb lots which you probably are

Mostly just depends on his perception of you.  Your both sat pretty deep so he may be doing it wiith air Blind on blind, not believig you have a hand.  Has to open shove turn after flop action.  Could be a monster could be air.

But if I'm calling flop I likely call off turn, hoping to see A9 or air.  I think he likely plays a worse A this way blind on blind.

what gives you that perception are you assuming?

im pretty sure there wasn't many if any blind on blind hands with this villain, yes in theory i do raise alot blind on blind as you should but in this individual scenerio i haven't as i didnt get the chance to often enough.

Think you played this spot on. The worries about AK or AQ above are off the mark - no way he's not re-raising you pre. If he has A3 or A4, hands which would be consistent with how he played it, then good luck to him. More like he's got 9T or something round there.
