sky poker channel on freeview

Is there any chance this could be done, it must be possible as I have freeview and can get sky3.  Surely you would be reaching a far wider audience, hance more traffic and rake etc.

    Great idea, but probably a lot more to it than that. Prob regulations about 'gambling channels' and a certain allocation of 'spare channels' also perhaps Sky only have X amount of channels to use on Freeview, and a poker channel probably is seen as too specialist.

    sky poker channel on freeview is a great idea ...... and as for it being to specialist , might i remind you that poker is the biggest new game to hit this country in years  :-)

    I can't even begin to imagine the cost of adding a channel to freeview. As the current channel is subsidised by advertising and sky subscribers it works, however once you take it to free view i would imagine you would have to add a significant amount of viewers who then become users of sky poker to make it viable.

    I'm afraid this is just not do-able, for all sorts of reasons.
