Final Table - Correct play to call the shove?

10.30pm 22/6 £100 gtd Freeroll  437 Starters

To be honest I was halfway out of the room a few hands previous when I'd shoved short-stacked with 22 against AQ and won with a flush on the river against flopped 2 pairs, so I'm not too upset about not making the big money.

Was it correct play to call this shove? Villain had been very busy and had shown some semi and total bluffs - I thought he was trying to take the pot down. Got all excited when I flopped a set, but I guess what goes around comes around.

    openshove yourself with <8BB

As played getting nearly 2/1 you have to call, especially v this villian. In general though 33 is a horrible hand to call a shove as you are generally flipping at best and sometimes crushed

Would small fold pocket pair here, unless i had him well covered, the best state you are in pre flop is a race, although hard to do with your  stack size, beat is harder to take after flopping your set but keep going and your luck will change.

this short you should shove or fold

whether its best to call or fold would depend on likelihood of other players being knocked out in the next few hands - in which case you might be better to fold and look for a better spot but if you're the shortstack you probably may as well call as 6bb wont last long or have much fold equity
just realise when u call its at best 50/50 at worst facing an overpair

lol asif you can raise fold from a 7.5bb stack. there is no fold in this for me. i would however just open jam utg, yes we are more than likely flipping but to win a tournament and get through the final table you need to take and win flips. we are going for the win. folding here for me makes you a weak player. embrace gambling at this stage of a tournament. but next time, do the shoving thing yourself.

well, if he's at the final table, one step on the ladder could be significant - if another guy has 5 or less BB, he may be better to fold and take chance the -5bb guy goes out first

but, the min raise was a bad play that gives you problems - just shove or fold with this stack
