Trev might be able to help me with name for my favourite ever goal. I saw it on Saint and Greavesy, it's from a South American league game in the 1980s and the goal keeper takes the ball from his own box, dribbles down the right wing and fires it into the goal from just outside the box. Apparently years before Sylvester Stallone pitched this for the ending to Escape to Victory and Bobby Moore said 'That never happens.'
Being an archetypal tight Scot my two memorable goals both won me money. To redeem myself both were scored by my favourite teams in important games though.
Goal 1 : Ulises de la Cruz for the mighty Hibs against the lowly Hearts. I had £5 on him to score both 1st goal @ 28/1 and £5 on last goal @ 28/1. He scored a peach into the top corner to get the first goal. Then scored the 2nd goal too. Alas Hearts pulled one back voiding my last gs bet. You would have thought. But checked my account later and lo and behold they'd mistakenly paid out on both bets! Happy days. I won't tell you the bookie involved. Mainly because you're both working for them at the moment. Shhhh ;-)
Goal 2 : Cantona winner for Manu FA cup win over Liverpool. I had £5 bets on Cantona 1st gs, Cantona last gs, ManU to win 1-0 and £20 on ManU to win in 90. All bets came in with Le Genius's's scuffed volley 7 minutes from time. Happy days.
By the way cheers for pulling my name out the hat on Thursday night Trev. Unbelievable prize. Now to take it down :-)
best ever goal was robbie reinelts equalizer against hereford on 3rd may 1997,goal which kept brighton not only in the league but more then likely in business
it was pre sky in our house so me and my dad were watching the game live via teletext, running round the living room like a couple of loons

Ah those were the days...following the scores on teletext....the agony of that injury time defeat...the ecstasy of the late winner...and waiting for the result to be confirmed and always missing the page with your team on and having to wait for 3 or 4 pages to scroll round :-)
i dont usually play friday and saturday eveings but events allowed me to this week. strangely the tv coverage is different tonight and i have had to adjust my tv.... oh by the way, great show, yadder, yadder, yadder... anyway, had to adjust the contrast as your hair is looking so much blacker than it does on thursdays. weird.
One of my most memorable goals was Ally McCoist against Switzerland in euro 96. Not only was it our first and only goal of the tournament, at that moment we had qualified for the first ever time EVER from the group stages, as long as England held on to their 4 0 lead against Holland. The news got filtered around the ground and Scotland started to play nervously. They were basically relying on England not conceding and the whole of Scotland were supporting England for once. Unfortunately, this news also reached David Seaman who decided that it would be good idea to let Patrick Kluiverts duffed shot go thru his legs. Gutted
Another memorable goal was when Ronaldinho lobbed Seamen from 40 yards. I was in Ayia Napa and remember jumping out of my seat in shock shouting 'What a goal', before realising that i was surrounded by 500 England fans. In my defense, I was just supporting Brazil as thats our 'other national team' when we fail to qualify (which is all the time now) plus I had a big bet on Brazil to win the World Cup. kaChing Long live Fat Ronaldo.
Also, love the Murray Walker impersonation Rich. Have u seen him commentating on snooker. Its hilarious.
Cheers for the show guys excellent watching as always
Rich, many thanks for the free entry in the TSP, think thats the third time youve chosen me this year, people will be beginning to talk
If I can be entered in for teh Thurs comp that will be ideal for me.
As for greatest goals, how about one of the most memorable goals that actually wasnt, this being Pele's dummy against Uruguay in the 1970's world cup, still remember it to this day, one of the highlights of that world cup, along with Gordon Bank's save
not a goal story but related, my misses started labour at 12pm on a saturday afternoon and she wanted to go to hospital, but no way so i persauded her to leave it at long possible, we`ll that`s what the midwife said, so at least i managed to get the final scores before i took her to the hospital at 6pm, as it turned she never gave birth till sunday nite 6.25pm where she had an emergency c/section, now the doctor asked if i wanted to come in with her, my reply was no-way it took me 7months just to get into delivery room there not giving me 20 mins notice to see her gut sliced open
The Arsenal v Stoke semi final game that Trev was on about then.....was that when a goal was given to Arsenal when the ref played on when he thought an ice cream seller walking down the touchline was actually a Stoke player and obv Arsenal were off side??.....discuss

if i had vinnys questions i would of scored 8
the penn and teller trick is not real... they have editted 8 years 7 months of dealing blindfold down to a 2 minute trick.
easy really.
The best ever goal was Stoke's winner v Arsenal in the 2011/2012 season which sent WBA down and gave the title to the mighty potters!!!*
*if lager companies did future games....
