play deeper if you want to open hands like 89s

I might just check back flop, if you are betting it shove any turn

as played c/f river, save 10BB

    I'd also only play 89 suited when deeper - say £3 - £4
having a go at flop is fine but once second ace none diamond comes down on turn check it back.
if a diamond comes on river you could jam as he seems to call.
A reraise pre even though small, and with no reads, smells of a high pocket pair or an ace in his hand especially at nl4 level

Personally the way I play 4NL (profitable) there is just no need to start getting fancy with 89s and especially with less than 40 bb's behind......

yeah looking at it again the A is prob the one turn I dont shove if I bet flop

I think its a clear openfold pre though at 4NL with those stacks
