    Dont beat yourself up too much. I have had pretty much the exact hand shown on the poker clinic on the tv a while back and the general consensus is to go broke with the set (as i did, it got beat by the straight btw). Never mind, take it on board for next time. kidwizzz, your a lucky lucky man. lol.

    OP you should pretty much never fold a set on the flop. He can have a straight here, but you still have roughly 30% equity if he has and villains generally can do this with 2 pair, pair + draw, top pair etc so its going to be hugely profitable getting it in

    I had to look at that hand history about 10 times there and was keep asking myself htf did the set of 3s win !

    The overjam can easily be one of the two hands your afraid of.  I dont hate the fold.  Honest.  I dont love it, but I certainly dont hate it
