Due to the possibility of flights being cancelled to glasgow due to the volcanic ash, I am considering driving up from Coventry on Friday, driving back on Sunday. If anyone who lives near coventry or on route may need a lift let me know. (I'll be making a final decision late Thursday)
Hi, Is there a reserve list for the SPT this weekend in Glasgow, incase players can't make it up? Or indeed if anyone knows that they can't make it up, would you be willing to come to an arrangement on me standing in for you (obviously only if SKY are happy with that)? Regards Stephen
I sold my ticket to Pokerace 23 for the SPT Glasgow , Sky called me to confirm that was ok , so I told Pokerace that he was registered . Pokerace goes all the way to Glasgow , to find out he is not registered ,,,,,, This is beyond a joke , not fair and to be perfectly honest , one of the most underhand things I have heard of .
If I was told NO I would have said to Pokerace don't go as its not worth it , but thats not the way it went

I will send you a "Private Message" via the Sky Poker Community in the next few minutes, & it will have my phone number in it, please ring me.
For now, all I can say is that the Registration Desk at Glasgow was manned throughout, from 10am until 3pm, by Rich Milner, of Sky Poker, & Rich Prew (SPT-Rich) & myself were back & forth to it throughout. Neither of us were or are aware of anyone being turned away under the circumstances described.
If indeed Sky Poker have mesed up, we will try to make up for it somehow, but for now, it's a bit of a mystery, as none of the three of us know anything about this, & we were the initial point of contact for ALL players at Glasgow.
Anyway, check your PM's in a few minutes, & give me a ring, please.
For the record, I have not yet been contacted by "urdead2", either by PM, e-Mail, or via telephone, after I sent him my private e-addy & Moby number 4 days ago.

Well made up managed to qualify for Swansea SPT last night which will be my first proper live poker experience. Would therefore greatly appreciate any helpful advice on anything that may be useful for example
Do I need to register & if so how & when? Do most players get to venue the day before ? Any tips on suitable & conveniently located Hotels, B&B's etc? Also anything other info that I may find useful.
Really looking forward to it, putting some faces to the names, having fun, a good social & of course playing some poker. Would also like to congratulate my fellow qualifiers: Kaysing,M4VERICK,DiggerMan,Doudeau & karlluke well played & see you there.

No need to register until you get to the casino and make sure you take driving licence or passport with you to register. theres a travelodge and premier inn nearby someone posted on the swansea hotels thread with an address and phone number that might be helpful. a lot of us do go on the friday and play at the casino the night before, last year there was quite a few of us and some of the sky crew joined us as well.
sky will also send you an email shortly before the event giving you more info. iv been to 4 or 5 of these and they are amazing, you will love it, iv qulaified as well so feel free to message on the forums and meet up with us for a drink, im traveling up with mogsy1957, cazzie58 when she qualifies as well.

Managed to qualify for Swansea leg (as my home town rather chuffed), it'll be my first live casino outing so just want to ask a random Q - Its say's the buy in is £110, do we have to pay that as well even if qualified through £24 game or is it just for peeps who dont want to play qualifiers?
