Comp Idea???

After reading something in Tikays Vegas blog about how he enjoyed being the underdog with a low stack it gave me an idea for a tournament which could be an STT or MTT (on a weekly,nightly basis maybe) where you could be the underdog

It could be called "Take Your Pick"

The concept is to start on different stacks for a set buy in - NO REBUYS - NO ADD ONS


CHIPS   BUY IN

1000   £1  £2  £3
2000   £2  £4  £6
3000   £3  £6  £9

OR

CHIPS   BUY IN

1000  £1  £2    £3
2000  £2  £4    £6
5000  £5  £10  £15

5 or 10 minute Blinds  - STT (either 6 max or 9 max) or MTT (you could have over a hundred ppl all playing on differemt buy ins)

I think it would throw up some good strategys - Thoughts appreciated

    No idea if it's good or bad, I'd have to play it to find out, but it's definitely one of the more interesting suggestions. Nice work.

    Interesting concept MP,

    Not really for me as I hate being shortstacked at the start of a tourny...think losing 50% of your stack in the first hand and having to grind it back..defo not for me!! Saying that, no way would I pay more for the tourney to have a chip advantage..I feel this is more suited to the larger BR's..

    Pop me down for a maybe..I'm sick enough to be interested in watching the carnage but not enough to play

    good idea mate, I imagine the shorties trying to double early creating some action right from the start.  You could also make it a bounty hunter where the players at different buy ins have different head values.  Very interesting

    now I do like this idea,
    No better feeling than going deep in a poker game after being short-stacked!

    how do i go about asking sky about a new tourney idea??i have a really good idea for 1 but want to keep it hush hush atm till i get the go ahead from sky
