Hi Thought i'd better say hello as a newbie both to the site and the game. Just two weeks serious study of the game and i'm smitten. Just love it!!! Off to USA touring in october and having two day in Las Vegas. I'd love to play in a tournament at a casino on the strip. Any suggestions? Oh yes, is the Sky Poker Cardiff event open to anyone for a fee or do you need to qualify.
full of strange lonely freaks anyway................... sorry but can't see how this is advice tbf Posted by scouse_red
i was advising him not to join a team and giving a reason why i dont think he should, if there are any daily mail readers on here that are offended by that comment i am happy to retract it

hello mate and welcome
i believe you have to qualify for the live events now but i think cardiff would be full, it might be an idea if your close by to pop down there and mix in anyway as there will be side events and plenty of stuff happening, you may even get in as an alternate.
as for vegas you have a lot of choice, my personal favourite for tourneys is Caesars palace, good structured tournaments fairly good value and it is actually in its own room so completely smoke free...have a great time

Welcome Steve
Qualification is closed for Cardiff although they do have a live satellite at Les Croups for 5 seats. You can normally buy in as an alternate on the day although this is not guaranteed, come along anyway as the casino will run its own Sat night tournament and sit and gos which are great fun!
Vegas - I have been 3 times, depends on your bankroll and how good a structure you want, my faves are Aria at 7pm $120 8000 chips 30 min clock and MGM Grand 11am and 7pm 6000 chips 20 min clock for $85
