    GTFO snap moving it.

absolutely ridiculous, I'm in for the night playing sky poker and I'm having problems with the site, you snap move it somewhere where I'll get a reply sometime tomorrow.

At least give it 10/15 minutes.

    tyvm anyway.

To be fair DOHHHHHHH you'll never get a quick reply on the forum as that's not its purpose.  Technical Support don't look at the forum, at least not regularly.  It's for discussions rather than support.

    Hi Dohhhh,

Machka is correct, whilst we appreciate your frustration, this forum is not a customer care channel. Its purpose is for discussion between community members, it is not a dedicated technical assistance operating 24 hours a day.

If you are having problems which are impacting your play then you need to report it through customer care.

Some questions which will hopefully help us investigate and resolve these problems:

Did this issue you experienced continue through the night or seem to resolve itself after a certain point?
when 1 of your tables starts lagging, what exactly does that mean? Does everything slow down? I.E. dealing of cards, movement of chips & button, or is it only slow when your turn to act. I.E. you see the 'check/bet/fold' buttons, you click the one you wish to use but then nothing happens and you are eventually timed out?
Is the slowdown instant, or is it a gradual decline in performance over several hands/minutes?
Does the slowdown ever resolve itself or does it persist until you stand up/are knocked out of that table/tournament?
have you tried closing a lagging table and re-launching, does that resolve it temporarily/permanently for that session?

We're going to close the other threads you've posted as they are all duplicates of this effectively and we want to keep all feedback in 1 place.

For me personally the lag has been just on the buttons when it's my turn, but all of the other players are also taking all of their time to act too.

So the cards are dealt at normal speed, but when it's time to act I click the button and nothing happens until the time runs down to the bottom. It's never timed me out though and the button I pressed still works eventually.

I haven't ever been able to leave a table and rejoin it as i've only ever experienced this on the cash tables and when i've left and come to rejoin it's filled up.

Exactly the same here. I first noticed it weekend before last (2nd/3rd Jul) and have experienced the same in one game since. Note I've only ever seen this issue with ONE TABLE OPEN (I never MT). On both occasions I was using the browser client (Firefox5) rather than the download.

So everything was working perfectly except for the FOLD/CALL/RAISE buttons.

In the past I've had technical problems at my end, that were making sky poker unplayable for me.

By posting in the forum and recieving advice from normal forumers, I've then been able to fix the problem and be back playing normally within minutes.

It might have been something that I could fix myself, that has been the case on more than 1 occasion. So I don't understand your point about the forum being a place for "discussion between community members". - I wanted a discussion with other forumers about my technical issues, to allow me to continue playing on sky poker?

I fail to see why you/the mods have a problem with this.

    ----------------------

Anyway on to the problems with lag....

Yes, I would click an action button, for example fold/raise and the time bar would run right down before my action was either implemented, or declined as "timed out" - (a red box comes up saying "your last action could not be implemented" or something like that)

Sometimes the lag seems to spread across the tables but normally it's just 1 or 2.

I did re-start 1 table and it just transfers to another.

Towards the end of the night, I was able to run 4/5 okay. Still abit "sticky" but much better than between 7-11pm.

Thanks Acidman that's really useful info, just to clarify, when you press the action button and nothing happens - do the bet/fold/check buttons still disappear instantly (although the no chips are put in the pot/hand folded until the timer runs down)?

Or do the action buttons remain on the screen as though they hadn't been clicked?

Can you give us a rough idea of when this is occurring, does it happen randomly day or night? or just in the evenings?

I can assure you and all that we're looking at this as a priority, we've not found any explanation at this stage so the more information we can gather the better

If this continues to happen then please could you make a note of the times and add them onto this thread so we can narrow down timings?

    Kind Regards

    Adam

I can't remember if the button stays or goes as i've not had any problems the past two times i've played on the site. I've not been able to play much lately so the last time I had this problem was last week and I was experiencing this for all of that week and the week before.

I know my chips wouldn't go into the middle if i'd clicked bet/call/raise etc until my timer had gone right down to the bottom.

Same as if I chose to fold my cards they wouldn't be folded until the timer had run down.

I have never experienced a time out though, the action I chose to do has always got through ok.

I'll try a few tables later today and this evening and take more details if I experience it.

    Hi Everyone,

Here's an update as promised and some good news.

Our tech and development team believe they have pinpointed the cause of this intermittent lagging/slowdown. We have made some changes to our platform this afternoon which they are confident will prevent this happening again, so we dont expect this to be a problem this evening or in the future.

but if you do have any problems then please let us know as usual via the various channels.

    Best Wishes

I don't think anyone has a problem with you asking for technical help on the forum, ever.  But in this instance you posted in the evening,

"1 tabling is tilting me, which is bad when multi tabling, please fix it :("

    and

    "Anyway "sort it out sky""

neither of which was going to happen at 8pm by posting on the forum.

Your second thread asking for suggestions as to why this might be happening I answered with my "best guess" as to what might be going on.

At a minimum I'd say post a few hand id's where you had a definite slow down.  This is the most useful information for Sky Poker to look at the issue.
