It is with deepest regret that I have to announce that Trip5 (Irene) has resigned from the Team as Captain.

For reasons I can not go into fully on here, she has not made this decision lightly but felt her position had become untenable.

On Behalf of the Team, I wish to thank her for all that she has done for each and everyone of us and wish her well and success in the future.

I personally felt that myself, or any other member of the Team, were not competent enough to fill the Captain's role and therefore I had to recruit from outside the Team.

It is with great pleasure then that I announce our new captain.....

IRISHROVER!  

I have spent most of the morning on the phone to Denis today and he has, after some deliberation, accepted the post. He understands the situation with Irene and realises that the Team need a forum icon to replace her.

He leaves Team51 with a heavy heart and wishes them all well. He knows that he leaves behind a great captain in Elsadog together with his two henchmen, GaryQQQ & DJToby. Please respect his decision.

Me and Denis know that there will be some fall out over this transfer but please can we all keep it civil and understand the bigger picture.

    Well I didn't see this one coming, Irene is a legend in the Sky Poker community and an inspiration, she goes out of her way to go above and beyond.

    I respect her decision totally for whatever her reasons are.

    and of course to our new capt Irishrover welcome to the madhouse that is TKP

    and I like Alan hope that this can be kept civil as I'm sure any decisions would not have been taken lightly

    OMG RIP Irene she was great i hope she is still going to be a part of the community etc?

    Sad news indeed ;o)

    However, I have pleasure in announcing that Team51 have a new assistant pole dancer.

    After much searching this coveted position has been filled and we all look forward to our new pole polisher .............


    Welcome ...........IRENE !!!!!!!!!

    This is a painful break for her but Irene is now able to take up full-time, what has so far for her, only been a part-time hobby. We all know she will be an asset to our Team51 Wet Tee-Shirt Pole Dancing section. 

    We will all miss Rover but a new pole dancer does it for us :o)

    .............. and she will look much better in that tee-shirt than Denis ever did.

    May I add my sadness at Irene leaving as captain, this is quiet a shock.I do hope she remains part of TKP as a player and drinks railer. I send her my best wishes :)

    This is part of teams, Capt. change and new players join , and old players leave, its just what happens in all team events.

    So from my point of view, I would like to welcome IRISHROVER (Dennis) to our famous, and original team      TKP. HE IS A WONDERFUL PLAYER WHO I ADMIRE, AND HIS FORUMS HAVE BEEN VALUABLE TO ME. SO A MASSIVE WELCOME .

    Once again will miss you Irene :( But will look forward to the future.

    I would just like to welcome Irene to Team51 as my understudy,pole dancing isn't as easy as people think. I have invested some of my winnings into new dusters and some polish therefore Irene you don't have to go out and buy some.
    I second Elsadog by saying Rover will be missed ,but give me an understudy any time.

    I suppose if we're getting a woman as compensation I might be able to come to terms with this, I suppose the more pole dancers in Team51 the merrier :)

    When I started to read the OP I was expecting the announcement to be that Trip5 was leaving TKP to launch a new ladies only team, a proposition I've seen being discussed in a few chatboxes lately. Anyway, welcome to Team51 Irene, our ladies have been having great success lately, particularly Lea and Debs. Team51 - the binking womans team.

    Don't be upset at Rover leaving. I was in secret discussions with Irene and Lea regarding our helping Irene to fulfill a lifelong wish to be a professional Pole Dancer.

    We can't really complain that a team sitting at the bottom of the teams league would look to improve themselves in this way. It really is a win win situation. Team Plopper gets an experienced all-rounder as their new captain and we fulfill a dream for Irene. She will feel better for the pressure being off her having carried the ploppers all these years - the most she will have to worry about from now on is whether her tee-shirt needs re-wetting once she is under the wing of our Lea.

    We must wait for rover to speak when he feels ready.

    So much for keeping it low key Maxxy...

    There will always be a part of me that remains Orange, however due to my recent spate of bok-railing I feel I have no option than to hang up my mighty TKP top banana captains banner...hopefully with my departure the Mighty Irish can lead TKP into a wsop beating team!

    The remedy of course is to join the very valid pointmakers 'Team 51' where upon arriving I shall be checking into Ward 51...

    Here I can blame Sky for boking my ex teamies every time I appear on the rail!!!! In Team 51 I am able to be true to myself, I am able to vent my bad beats, moan and whinge and cry and stamp my feet and investigate all nooks and crannies, safe in the knowledge that I do not have to be smiling at the same time.

    Elsa has promised me a bonio and a tepid cup of milk...also thrown in is the much needed anti-railing-bok tin foil hat.

    P.S. my pole dancing *ROCKS ;o)))

    With all due respect to TRIP5 i think Team51 has come off worse here.

    All this guff about pole dancing is all well and good but Irishrover was one of the main reasons i chose to join Team51 and i cannot see how TRIP5 will ever replace him.

    I'm not impressed.

    shame to see Irene go. Top Top Lass Irene is. She was even teaching me English. Sigh. I expect Irish will be taking over on that now but it just wont be the same lol.

    I'm obv not involved in a DTD team, but I do enjoy reading SOME of the threads...

    Irish and Trip were both iconic figures in their respective teams, the leaders of the pack....

    Swapping them over is just wierd, and is probably the beginning of the end for this whole team atmosphere thing.

    Both teams will suffer, swap back !!!!

    for a moment i thought i was having a trip. not that i can remember the last one. 1966 i think. its the policy of team 51 to take a bad beat have a winge and then get on with it so good luck to you denis and hello to IRENE, YOU ARE JOINING THE BEST were the girls are equal to the boys.     It's all a bit of fun and a little swapping and changing, team transfers, ups, downs, ins and out is all part and parcel of the dynamics.

    PS. Still haven't heared anything from Dohhhhhh about joining TPT - I wonder!!!!!!!!!!!! but I did see him practicing the 7.15 deepy yesterday, so there's still hope.

    lol he doesn't want to be in a team but is too polite to say no so hoped it would just get lost

    when he plays DTD he will play as Hitsquad other then that he is a singleton who plays for himself untill Team Dohhhhh reforms
