Okay, i've got my hotel booked now, but only for the saturday. I should make it into manchester by about 11am on the day, to give me a chance to know where to go. Will the tourney have a 2pm start? I need to know because i cant book into the hotel i'm at until 1pm.

It's called the Westlynne hotel, and it's roughly a mile away from the casino. Its had some decent reviews and it's only £35 a night, so i thought i'd go for it.

See you all there!!!!  £5.20 -> £110 tournament entry.  Cannot tell you how happy I am!!  Won a sat earlier today and then sneaked in just now in the semi (with a very lucky 8 on the river giving me a full house).  There is a strong possibility I will implode with excitement!

If at first you don't succeed... come back from 190 chips to qualify as chip leader.

Off to book a skanky hotel. GL all.

Blimey, looks like I've just done it too. An excellent tournament tonight, with some really good play.

Look forward to seeing you all there... How about pushing the boat out and staying at the Malmaison? Anyone?

    First round is on me*

I like the Malmaison in Manc. It's like a Parisian brothel but more seedy.

    * Hope the conditions include bursting the bubble so the short stacks can qualify? ;)
