My first online hand of the night and I run AAA into a flopped flush. FML. And with the obligatory moaning over an actual question: is this just bad bad bad, or is there anything to be said for shoving top set into a likely flush?

My thinking, such as it is:

* Villain is a new (to me) reg at this level, have only played with them for a couple of hours before, not much to note other than seems more at the laggy end of the spectrum
* Villain is 8 tabling at the time so I expect their range to be fairly static

When I make my flop bet I'm thinking any resistance and I'm against a set of 4s, Ad X non-d, maaaaybe A4 of another suit or, most likely, the made flush.

Is this always a bad shove?

Standard cooler. Plus you were 34% to win when it goes in.

He picks up three more outs on the turn, which makes it 34%.....

    O.P never fold here.

Would be interested to know which 8 tabling reg open limp/calls the button.
