Hi guys&gals,
Another of my hands to analyse....
I was gonna try the DeepStack tonite but got in late so thought I’d try the Mini open. Registered & made a cuppa.
Couple of minutes before start decided to check the Lobby! FFS It was like a who's who of Sky poker! I double checked to see if I’d entered the wrong tourney!!
PLEASE, PLEASE God I prayed when the tables were arranging, don't put me on a table with Gliterbabe, Solack, Hurst05, Andrew1945, made4thegame, Supersnedd, ebberdon, gixxerk4, Codex, or Gerrard9!  (I could go on but you get the picture!)  Lucky for me the table I got were all new to me so I relaxed & played some good poker! Was 7/260 at one stage!!!!!
Anyway the hand. Mini open, 300 runners, was lying 35/52, top 40 get paid.
Villain was 3/52 and had just come to table couple of hands ago with a big stack. Had nicked a few blinds iirc.

Your thoughts?? (oh and no peeking at the Mini lobby!)

stop open limping pre, esp with a 18bb stack.

    give up on turn

    MANY thanks for reply.
I know I've got a prob with limping pre but I suppose I want a cheap flop??
Question tho, why bet flop smaller? Also, give up on turn as it's flushing?
    BTW Sorry Andrew1947!

If you know about the problem, why do you keep doing it?

    LOL_Raise's advice is spot on.

Betting flop smaller is good because when you are just c-betting with air it's a cheaper way of doing it, plus when you have the goods you are more likely to get called, or raised, by weaker hands.

It also leaves more room for play on future streets.

You have 6800 going to the flop.... if you bet 1/2 pot, and get called, pot is 2800 going to the turn, and you have 6100 back.
As played, you bet 1400, meaning the pot is 4200, with only 5400 back.

either openfold or make it 1000 pre

I'm not sure I dont just c/f flop 3way oop, if you do bet I prob bet 800-900

Once your psb on flop is called and river completes draw, the only reason to crai is as a bluff to represent a monster, I much prefer just giving up

Thanks for all the replies.  Lol_raise's was kinda spooky! Felt he'd been watching me play!!
I promise I am TRYING to take on board the advice given! I think I am improving, in fact I know I am?
I just find it difficult sometimes in the "heat of battle" to remember everything!

    pad

p.s. Villain turned over A8 for a set of 8's. ho hum!
