How does the value of hands change with the number of players?

Hi,

Was playing a few DYM's recently and I think/know I folded a few hands i prob shouldn't.
I realise there are other factors, table dynamics etc.  BUT is there, (and I'm guesssing not) an idiots guide to how the value of hands change from say 6 x handed to 4 x handed?
e.g. 6 x handed K8s I'd prob fold but is it a good hand to raise 4 x handed otb with a load of limpers?

I'm guessing this knowledge only really comes with experience?

Talking about K8s is probably too specific. Then again, saying that you generally need to loosen up is probably too non-specific!

Playing 4 handed in a tournament, there is a lot of stealing going on. You've got to make sure you get your share.
As an idiot's guide, any ace, any king, any two broadway, any pair are not just worth a raise, but probably a re-raise (all depending on blinds, stack sizes, position, table image etc).
