Hi everyone! I had to take some time away from poker because i had a snowboarding accident and did some serious damage to my arm leaving me unable to work so didnt have the funds to play (and i probably couldnt of held the mouse lol), but im nearly fit again now and im back at work so i can afford to fund some poker! ive missed it so much great to see the community going as strong as ever. and ive already bumped into some familiar faces on the tables. used my time off work to read a few books and watch plenty of videos so hopefully its helped me to improve as a player. im going to stick to what i played before the injury, low stake DYM's and the occasional low stake deep stack MTT's while i (hopefully) build up a bankroll had a great first 2 days back making a slight profit and over 100 poker points If you bump into me on the tables feel free to say hi my chat windows are always open Unfortunately im busy tonight so cant play my fav tournaments (the Monday night forum deep stacks) Posted by RLT16
Welcome back RTL. Nice to see you are on the mend, Run well at the tables.
Nice cashes all and best of luck to everyone playing the Forum DTD games tonight.
I will be attempting my best finish in a long time, pom poms, boom button & a few sprinkles of run good is what is required
Friday night was a very bad night for me after taking an early bath in the Orfordable....flopped a straight to the queen only to see it go all-in in a 3 way pot. was looking strong against pomfrittes who had flopped a set of sevens, but was also up against a flush drw who managed to bink it sending me & pom home for an early bath.
Flopped another straight in the 9.30 2K bounty hunter only to see A on Turn & A on River, oppo fills up with Full House - Also went out of deepy with AA v KQ aipf.....board runs out KKx - I run so bad lol.

i think you are getting to the stage when you don't want to be discussing your strategies so much on the forum.
ie your comments on lambies thread about the 74 hand.
He didn't understand what your play meant and you got him to fold the better hand. The more he understands the more likely he calls when you don't want him to and vice versa.
The deeper you run in these mtts the more likely it is you will be playing key hands vs the lambies of sky poker. Keep them guessing.

Very Good Point Geldy
Even Chris Moreman said he keeps a few secrets/game play strategies in his own game.
We are going to start seeing these players more often now, so start letting them build up their own notes rather than giving them free information.
Nice results again from TPTers yesterday (and yes Dale - I do mean you leading by example!!).
I didn't manage to do anything interesting in the main - kept myself in til around 11pm but then busto in around 3 hands. Also out of the £22 BH game with only 2 heads. BUTTTTTTTTT - with Dale and Larson on the rail I did manage 3rd in the final UKOPS £55 BH game.

To be honest I prob should have been able to win it - but as it got to 2.30am I had no choice but to turn computer off and switch to the quieter mobile phone.......... bad mistake - I couldn't seem to pick my own bet size on phone and had to either check, 1/2 pot, or allin. Still - it was great fun until hubby started yelling at me to hurry up lol.
Hope all TPTers run golden tonight. If I fall asleep at the table please can someone wake me up??

Lots of love for MrDirk on the tables tonight please TPT. Rose and I have been introducing him to the team idea and playing DTD. He would be a great addition to the team but the outlaws are trying to nab him. Posted by GELDY
Looks like we lost out , unless MrDirk would care to address the situation?
All, I didn't realise all this infighting was going on, when a mediocre player (i.e. me) wants to join one of the teams. It's not an easy decision now, because originally I was asked by IrishRose to join TPT, but when I played last night Samantha was kind enough to explain the details and suggested I'd join OUTLAWS. No matter which team I join, I will upset someone, so as IrishRose was the first to introduce me, I will pick TPT as my team (so sorry Samantha...). As the results from last night show, this might be a blessing in disguise for OUTLAWS, as my performance was hopeless. Anyway, I vote for TPT, and hope no-one is too upset by that. Had to decide to join TPT, as it was GELDY and IrishRose who made me aware of the teams.
GELDY also told me about this thread, so I thought I'd introduce myself with a couple of words: Hello there!
If you want to read a bit more, read my interview with SkyKirsty, which GELDY referenced above. I'll try to play in the Monday evening DTD deepstack tourneys as much as I can, and hopefully add some points for the team.
Can someone explain the point system, assuming it's fairly straightfrward?

MrDirkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk - welcome to TPT I did visit one of your DTD tables last night to wish you luck but think you might have either been on mini or disappeared for a drink break.
I'm such a numpty - a very embarrased one at that - I hadn't even realised you'd won a UKOPS event (where is the naughty corner for me to hang my head in shame!!).
Thanks for joining the TPT team. I don't think (or maybe I just close my eyes to it) there is much team "fighting" as such - prob more a bit of friendly rivalry more than anything else.
I'd love to be able to explain the scoring points sytem thingy - but I've tried for 2 years to get my head round it and failed miserably so I'm not even going to try. Geldy or Matt is prob your man for numbers.
Hi all other TPTers too btw. Good results last night. Apologies for my absolute cringeworthy results but I ran out of matchsticks to keep my eyes open and just couldn't hack it.

Firstly welcome to the team Mr Dirk
As for the DTD points scoring basically its like golf, u have to enter atleast 2 of the three tournaments to qualify after posting on the monday night DTD post that u want enter and what team your representing, then u just play poker, ur final position in each tournament becomes your score so if u win u get 1 point, your two lowest scores are used to decide your final position, so if u finish 34th/ 15th/ 110th your final score would be 49
Then if ur the player with the lowest score at the end of all three tournaments you win a prize based on how many entrants there were to the event hope that clears it up
A BIG TPT Welcome to MrDirk UKOPs Winner & a great addition to the team
I have also added Irishmary to the team and if she turns out to be anything like Irishrose, she will be ripping up the tables in no time and giving Rose a run for her money

Welcome Both & Best of Luck at the Tables.
We still have our TPT Private game on the 1st wednesday of every Month.
They have been known to forget to put it in the lobby from time to time, so don't shoot me or dagg if it don't appear lol.
You can still invite a couple of guests. Numbers have been up over the last few Months so it's great fun and I think we all look forward to it now.
