Does anyone else have trouble registering for the UKPC Freerolls on a Wednesday, or any other night for that matter, when you know that you've earned enough points to register?

For the 3rd or 4th time I've not been able to register, even though I earned enough points(10) from last night's TURBO. I've managed to sort it out thru the service centre........AGAIN (they've credited me into tomorrow nights Freerolls instead), but I wondered whether anyone else had had this problem when they've only just earned enough points.

GOOD LUCK  to everyone playing tonight, (I'm giving it a miss) and as ALWAYS........

......May the CASH be with you ALL

    Hi Misty

I've had this before - but usually if I've just earned the points in the past hour and the game I won the points in hasn't finished yet?

Welcome to all newbies to the team - pls say hi when on tables - I don't bite (much) but I do honestly have terrible memory for names lol.

I have a small result earlier - managed to win the THS donkathon for £45.

Good luck all tonight - hope you run golden.

Great result for you in a live game - with added beers life must be good!!!

A lot of good results from TPTers last night.  I was lucky enough to see Geldy win the £1200 BH game and OMG - the HU was fab - practically a lesson on how to play poker :)    I didn't get round many tables to rail last night as I was determined to try to play a bit better last night.  I managed to win the THS game (but only 18 runners) and had lots of luck in it.  I went out of mini in 47th place but enjoyed the time I played it.  I managed to make 6th in the main rebuy game and then lost my head lol.  I got ko'd when I rather stupidly went all in pre with just pocket 8s and ran into rather nice pocket As.  The craic was mighty as they say - and the team rail yet again was outstanding.  I know I'll forget names as I have head like a sieve but I do remember Gran, JJ, Geldy, Connor, Larson and others coming in to give me a boost - many thanks - you kept me on my toes for a bit longer than I usually last lol.

Rather shattered today so I might just play main and mini tonight and then have an early night for a change.

Hope to see you all online tonight at some point - Run golden all xxxx

In Response to Re: Official - TPT (Team Poker Titans) Tribulations & Cashes : Thanks for the response trev, yeah definitely that sounds good to me, are the team games just a private game set up on sky poker? like I say I'm new to this poker team idea, maybe I'm just stuck in old school ways,  If you could add me to the team and point me in the right direction of where everyone is playing and chatting then that would great cheers!

    Hi Martin.
I've added you to the team list.

Here are a few pointers as to where you might find a few players from the team in tournies.

    7.15pm £2.20 - Deepstack (runs every night)
8pm Main Event & 8.30pm Mini Event (runs everynight)

    Monday Forum DTD
    7.15pm - DTD1 - £2.20 (Monday Nights)
    7.45pm - DTD2 - £1.10 (Monday Nights)
    8.30pm - DTD3 - £2.20 (Monday Nights)
(These three DTD Tournies are all part of the Forum DTD league which is played on Monday Nights. There is a league table and most of the other teams on sky also get involved) There are added prizes for individual & team results.

7.10pm Orfordable Deepstack £3.30 (Friday Nights) Monthly Prizes for best 2 results in the Month.

These are just some of the places you may find our team members participating. Check out the team list for player names & have a look in the tournament lobbies to see if any of us are about, open up the relevant table & say hi to your team mates in the chatbox.

I'm sure you will soon get the hang of it.

Alternatively you can use the sky "Find A Player" facility in the menu bar.

Best of Luck - see you at the tables

Can you give me some thoughts on how you manage to bink in so many satalites?

My bankroll takes a good pounding playing these and I suspect I would have a better return if I just bought in direct lol.

can't say i've changed much how i play them so i guess my sat strategy guide still holds (previous copy Dec 2013)

GELDY's Sat Strategy Guide seems to have taken on a life of its own!

It was nothing more than a few scribbled notes in reply to someone who asked for some advice. However, based on the overwhelming demand for it, and to avoid having my "TPT most helpful player's" gong being rescinded I will copy it below.

There are different types of satellites. I will talk about the regular semis for the main & 9pm event. These pay 1:5 and are great events. I will comment on my play in the 7pm semi for the 9pm BH. The SPT QF & Semi play like these, so you can practise on these first.

    Three phases

    1.       Initial phase - play your normal game. You are wanting to build a chip stack to help you through the next phases – I’ve been playing the 7pm semi tonight and was down to 1200 now back up to 2400 in the first 30mins – now 3700 as a 1200 stack shoves A7o into my QQ

     2.       Middle phase – now you want to tighten up a bit. You don’t need to take big risks to get a big stack as you don’t need to build a winning stack – just an ok one. But note who is already tight and be happy to minbet  them and fold to a raise. Key not to spew chips at this stage. Don’t need to go for the marginal double up. Just broke this rule by calling a shove with my min-raised ATs. Thought he was stealing – but he had AK – I rivered a T – but should never have called - now 7000. Generally don’t call shoves unless you are v strong or they are small stacks. Just minraised utg with KJs. 2 small stacks shoved – had to call the extra 800 they have AK & AJ lol – down to 4600

     3.       Generally getting close to the bubble (maybe at the 1:2 stage).  Need to pick spots. If someone has the stack to shove over you maybe better to shove first. Much better shoving than calling. Note particularly peeps who bet fold to raises or who don’t defend their blinds. Stack back up to 9000 from picking up some bets and some blinds. Just had A4 on the button. Shoved and small stack bb calls with J7 and hits. Now 7800 and 7/12 with 10 paid. Blinds 400/800 so cannot just coast. Now have 77 – utg minbets – if it folds to me I have a decision – it does. Hmmm – hope he can b/f – he is a good player so I take the chance. He has AA and sets up so that’s the end of that. Sometimes they do have it. Maybe I should have folded but maybe that’s result orientated. Bubble bursts with a small stack KK losing to 88. Last few bubble can last a while on these so do need to take some chances.
