Hi TPTers. Best of luck to all playing the Monday Forum DTD Tonight.
I'm not feeling too great, but will be in again to do battle for the Mighty Reds Tonight (Although I may be adoning a Red Duvet, Hot Water Bottle and cup of lemsip at the ready:)
Lets hope I run better than My SPT Luton attempt
I have purchased a new Boom Button which is an early x'mas pressy to myself, after having a few technical issues with the last one (Apparently the model I had "The BBX3" was the "Self Harm" Boom Button) although the instructions that came with it did not make this clear so I will be twiddling the knob for maximum effect Tonight.
Right........I'm off to make a few adjustments and get me hot water bottle ready for battle.
Best of Luck TPTers - Lets get it all wrapped up for x'mas.
Sorry guys not been posting my cashes recently, havent had any decent cashes or results, think its been a conbination of me playing really bad and running shockingly which puts me on tilt!!! good luck at the tables !!!
Reckon it must be TPT thing atm, Half the team have man flu. Been feeling really rough last few days, so might give DTD a miss tonight. Knowing me I wont though lol...
Any GL to all those playing.
Small cash from me yesterday in the Special forum thingy, came 5th for £8-odd. Ran into pom's bigger full house..
A poorly team might explain why this weeks MTT total is way down too although on my part is was a combination of a few bad beats and poor play by me. For those under the weather get well soon and good luck all who are playing tonight.
Disasterous DTD for me - the less said the better.
In mini laying about 15th had poc js in sb - folds all round - i 5b (to look like a bit of a steel)- bb, on similar chip stack) calls - flop 237 - cant remember what happns next - but all goes in - turn 6 riv 10 - good i thought - He show 23!!!! and i'm out.
Dont know about you guys but can you call a 5x raise at that stage of tourney with 23 off suit and why would you - anyway scraped the cash in 60th

I've heard of protecting your BB but that is ridiculous. If you react like I do to something like that you probably sat there stunned for a minute or 2 trying to figure it out and then fill the chatbox with unrepeatable words.
If it's any consolation JJ - That player did go on to win the tourney lol.
I really have no idea how players are making some of these calls just lately - it beggers belief. There seems to be very little respect for any raises/re-raises and all-ins at the mo.
I understand we want these types of callers and in the long run we will win more of these hands than we lose, however, in MTT's I really don't want to win 3 of these hands just to be knocked out by the one hand I don't.
Is there a way forward? It seems our big Pockets are at high risk if players are willing to make the call with "Any 2", so how can we combat these "any 2" callers who are looking to hit action hands/flops? How can we minimise the risk of losing to the "Any 2" players once they have made the call?.
Is this just a problem in "Small Stakes" Tournies that we need to combat?
Yeh to be fair trev it was bh.It was a micro stakes tourney.I remember mrb saying that you have to play an £11 bh to get a decent game.I find £2.30 bh are just nuts.So are the £3.30 bh.The £5.75 are a bit better but still a bit crazy. As with all tourneys the cream will rise in the end.So the late stages of tournys are ok,but you have to get lucky to get there. Then again it's volume i'm missing,as i've spent the last week and a bit in bed due to this never ending bug.Still i musn't complain i haven't had a cigarette or drink in a couple of weeks,or maybe i should complain lol.WD on your cashes guys.Very ul with those AA hands trev, what can anyone say.....Ul there steel.Killer flop nothing you can do there just a cooler.Gl at the tables guys.
Sorry i couldn't play in the DTD last night, but after leaving work late (busy time of the year) a 15 minute journey took me nearly 2 hours due to a 3 car pile up on the way home. Sitting in a non moving tailback in the freezing cold and missing my favourite poker night of the week didn't fill me in the best of moods. To make matters worse my boiler has decided to pack in so it felt like it was warmer outside than in my house. Am writing this quickly from work so i haven't checked how we got on, in the DTD, but i hope despite the lack of players it was a good result.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to all the ill people- getting more healty being ill takes some doing- well done JJ
Good luck at the tables, Titans, and hope to see you at the tables again soon.
