Hi K8LOU The DTD League is played on Mondays.
Tonight we play the Orfordable League (Orfordable Deepstack) 7.10pm Start - You have to put your name in the Friday Orfordable thread in the General Poker Chat section of the forum to have a chance of winning added prizes.
I will post all the details of the DTD League later so you know what to do on Mondays.
Can some1 tell me how some players on this site r winning players ???? scoped half off them out and there r up over 10k and some of the plays u c them make r absolutly awful ! not going to name names but i played a few of these so called big hitters who take mains down like there is no tomoro and its leading me to beleive there is certain players on sky who just run better than most, maybe its just the tilt talking but i have seen these players do it time and time again ! its leading me to beleive that sky is in favour of certain players ! i have also read a couple of forums were alot of the ppl agree, its obvious ur going to get beginners on sky but these guys r some of the big hitters on the site ! has any1 noticed this ????

Hi K8LOU Nothing wrong with letting off a bit of steam from time to time.
I know what you mean though when you say some players run better than others. What we have to remember though is that these players have a lot of experience and whilst the most average players play ABC Poker and look for premium hands the "Run Better" players open up with a much wider variety of hands.
You may have noticed that I was running good last night, but I opened with a wide variety of hands such as 56 - 67 - 78 - 89 - 10j - K10 etc - not all the time, but if the table isn't too aggro I definitely will, and even more so if they are sooted.
What we do have to remember though is, that whilst these can be great opening hands against the average players playing Pocket Pairs, we need to know what to do when we flop big or miss.
Pot control is very important when we are chasing these types of hands, so if i'm first to react pre-flop I tend to raise with these types of hands if i'm last to react I tend to flat call. Once the flop is down we need to control how many chips are going in the pot. For instance we don't want to be chasing down the streets against an aggro bet - so we have to take the incentive by putting in a blocker bet.
A blocker bet can be done in a couple of ways .....
A "Blocker Bet" needs approx 1/3 of the pot - We can use a blocker bet if we are chasing a straight draw/flush draw - If we check flop/turn there is a good possibility that our oppo will put in a big raise and we won't have the odds to call, however if we use the blocker bet, our oppo is likely to just call giving us the odds to see the next card. Obviously if oppo comes over the top then we can just fold and move on to the next hand without it costing us too much.
But the idea is to slow the play down giving us to odds to see the next card and hit our flush/straight draw and if we get to the river, it is very likely that we will get oppo to call us off with his top pair.
There are many other factors but the "Run Better" players usually have good control over the pot and give themselves the odds to make the hands as I did last night.
My Top Tip - Playing against "Run Better" players can be counter acted by pricing them out of a pot when you hit your top pair with AK for instance. - If they throw in a less than 1/2 pot bet then always re-raise them so they don't have the odds to chase a flush or straight draw.
