You were only one of many who contributed but thank you Greggo.
During the UKOPS i have satellited in to a good few comps got when i get there i seem to b doing something wrong, but surely if i have qualified i must be doing something right, i have been playing pretty tight and playing in position.
i lost out last night in these like this: 3k BH - QQ VS 10 9 AND 45 - 45 WON WITH A STRAIGHT 2K BH ( Which took me 2 hrs to qualify) AA VS KK ( WHEN IN P2 WITH 4HEADS) DEEP STACKS: DTD1 - AK VS A9 WHEN I HAD 24K CHIPS, SLIGHTLY GUTTED DTD2 QQ VS KK - DIDNT MIND LOSING THIS AS I WAS BEHIND FROM THE START HE HIT QUADS.
I WAS IN A FEW MORE BUT I WAS WELL TILTED BY THEN.
IS IT DOWN TO BAD LUCK OR SHOULDN'T I BE CALLING ALL IN WITH THESE RANGES, MAYBE I AM CONFUSED, I PERSONALLY WAS BEFORE TONIGHT GET IT IN WITH ACES,KINGS,QUEENS. I CERTAINLY LOST CONFIDENCE AS WHEN I 3 BET WITH AK AND I WAS RAISED ON TWO OCCASIONS I FOLD AS I DIDN'T WANT TO BE OUT ONCE MORE WHEN I WAS WELL SET, WAS REALLY ANNOYED AS I DIDN'T LOSE CHIPS THOUGH THE STREETS.
CERTAINLY KNOCKED MY CONFIDENCE UNSURE WHAT TO DO MAYBE TAKE SOME TIME AWAY OR JUST TRY FREEROLLS, AS I PUT 200 ON SKYPOKER ABOUT 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO BUILT IT UP TO NEARLY 970 POUND AND DURING THE PAST 6 DAYS IT IS DOWN TO ABOUT 80 QUID

Hi Haylez.
The hands you have posted below.......were they all - All-In Pre-flop?
3k BH - QQ VS 10 9 AND 45 - 45 WON WITH A STRAIGHT 2K BH ( Which took me 2 hrs to qualify) AA VS KK ( WHEN IN P2 WITH 4HEADS) DEEP STACKS: DTD1 - AK VS A9 WHEN I HAD 24K CHIPS, SLIGHTLY GUTTED DTD2 QQ VS KK - DIDNT MIND LOSING THIS AS I WAS BEHIND FROM THE START HE HIT QUADS.
If they were - then you were pretty unlucky tbh
QQ v 109 v 45 - How did this manage to go all-in preflop? AA v KK - Pretty standard & very unlucky AK v A9 we are ahead preflop but there is always a chance we are going to lose this flip QQ v KK - again, if we get it all-in pre-flop then we are unlucky to walk into KK
I pretty much hate getting it all-in pre-flop nowadays and would rather raise pre-flop and then reasses once the flop has come down.
Like I mentioned before, it's sometimes much easier to get someone off a hand once the flop is down rather than get them all-in pre, as you only leave them with a call or fold decision, it's much easier to get them to fold if we see the flop and it's also much easier for us to get away from it ourselves and move on to the next hand rather than risk all our chips.
In some cases though, even if we see the flop it can be difficult to get away from it ourselves but we have to balance what we could potentially gain against what we could lose if we risk all our chips on one hand. Sometimes its better to fold and move on against stubborn players.
We have to remember that AA, KK, QQ is a massive favourite pre-flop, but once all the chips are in, then anything could happen like 33, 44, 55 hitting a set for instance or QJs hitting a straight or flush.
Play them aggressively but be aware of the risks and if it looks like it could cost us our tourney then don't be afraid to fold them.
ps. It's also worth looking at stack sizes and being more aggro against the medium size stacks and staying away from the Big Stacks & Small Stacks.
The big stacks can take us out of a tourney & the small stacks are more likely to re-shove against our raises leaving us with no choice but to risk chips by having to call them.

Thanks trev for your reply.
they were all in pre flow apart from the one when the 4,5 hit a straight, the 45 when all in after the flop as the board had a 23 i suspect they wanted me to fold so i called as i thought i was in front which i was at that stage.
completely agree with what you have said i must re evaluate my game a little and try to cut out these errors or putting my tournament life on the line.

PLEASE HELPP ME
Let battle commence, it all starts tonight
We all know the outcome its gonna be WHITE
Our opponents first up are the team in Green
The colour of slime and snot and all things obscene
They will quickly crumble, turn and take flight
Once they see the power of WHITE
Then comes the team dressed in cowardly Yellow
Managed by Richard a very odd fellow
It will be great fun
As his team turns and run
And his haircut reminds me of the men made of LEGO
Next up to be culled are the team dressed in Blue
Nothing to worry about, they haven’t a clue
Led by a lady(!!!) with the most inappropriate name
“Champion”, my a ss, they will finish last in the game
And then come the team kitted out in Purple
Some of them look as though they would make the milk curdle
Up goes the cheer
As they tremble in fear
For they will surely fall at the first hurdle
And last up come the team dressed in red
It wont be long before they’re going to bed
Julian Thew I hear you cry
Julian WHO i say in reply
The battle will be short and all through the night
You will hear the victorious chant of WHITE WHITE WHITE
