Personally pocket 2s on a 10 handed table is a fold preflop with a raise and call before.

no it isnt a fold, they are mega deep here and the table size has nothing to do with it, if you are going to give advice then please dont give bad advice out.

    Who woke you up lol.........

He did say "personally" he would fold - Doesn't make it right or wrong, its just how he would play it personally.

For me though.....if the table is that deep & we are on the BB i'm calling. We already have 20 invested, so calling for another 40 chips into a pot of 150 is a green light imo.

Set mining is a big part of the game and when we hit our set, its not often we are going to run into another one.

A bit unlucky to run into a bigger set here, however...............

Given there is a 3 bet on the turn.....whats our next course of action? are we always going broke here or can we get away from it?

    Cheers in advance.

    Hi TPTers

It's Monday so that can only mean one thing (Bad Beats?) errrr NO I mean it's the Monday Forum DTD

    Links are below.........

    DTD1

    DTD2

    DTD3

Also post your name & Team (TPT) in the Monday Forum DTD Thread - HERE

Best of luck everyone - watch out for those pinkies- don't be fooled by their fluffyness.

One of my favourite TV Programs is "Dragons Den" and this team is no exception....make sure you present youself well and do the business otherwise you could hear those famous words "and for that reason...i'm out"

One or two TKP "team knight poker"or ploppers for short :) they will be mixing it up a bit tonight so be careful.

Run Well.......Run Hard - TPT Rule!!!

I dont think 22 can be played profitably for full stacks 9 handed 250bb deep.

The implied odds we get from hitting a set become reverse implied odds once we reach a certain stack depth. Im defo getting 100bbs in with bottom set but 250bb deep, are good players getti g full stacks in with 2 pair? As that is the best value hand we beat with a set of twos. We have the equivilent of top two pair. All other sets and better beat us.

22 is one of those hands thats best played very short stacked or fairly deep. Medium and mega deepstacks are bad for 22 imo imo.

My view on the 22 call or fold is 100% call everytime and its not even a question imo but each to their own i suppose. After you hit your set it then comes down to reads on the player your up against as to if you continue or not but they would have to be a massive nit for you to ever be folding here.

GL in the dtds tonight guys n gals

Id 100% call pre, but I wouldnt be looking to get my whole stack in without solid reads. Mind you I rarwly play deeper than 50bbs so what do I know lol.

I'm also calling 100% time pre with the 22.......fold is also fine though, each to their own.

Oops guess who went for a nap and failed to wake in time for the DTD?

Re jjs hand. I'm with the majority, I'm calling to hit the set on the flop. It's cheap enough and a very easy fold if I miss. I don't know the odds of 2 players hitting the set here but I know it's rare. Unfortunately I probably go broke too. I have in the past.
