If I'm 4bet then I really have a tough decision on my hands. On the flop I feel I'm probably ahead but I didn't bet because most worse hands are probably folding and if I am called then I'm still no clearer on where I am anyway. If I'm raised I have to fold. I decided to check with the intention of calling a sensible bet. The turn brings another 5 and I decided to check again. The pot is 800 and any bet is committing the majority of my stack. I wasn't concerned too much about the 5, I had 3bet pre so could only see A5/55 that would have called. Main concern is still the queen and if I'm faced with a strong bet here then my life becomes painful! If they shove here I'm probably giving up tbh.........luckily they check and by this point I'm confident that I'm ahead. The river brings another queen. A better player might bet the river for value?? But I'm playing for a big amount of money and was happy to check it down............then comes the shove! Did not expect that and tbh it made little sense to me. What hands had me beat....... AA/KK/QQ/JJ - These are almost certainly 4betting pre and as played are never checking the turn. Qx - I would have expected a queen to carry on betting the turn, especially after I had checked both streets. 5x - there aren't many 5x hands I would expect to be calling a 3 bet pre with but they can never be ruled out. Would they check behind on turn?? tbh I might to try and be sly and make my hand look like a bluff, so rightly or wrongly I was mostly worried about the 5 here! I noticed the analyst saying I was taking my time to make a fairly easy call too, but for me it was a decision that needed some thought!! In the end I decided that if they had a sly house then fair play to them nh but my gut feeling was that I was ahead so called. Like I said, I think bar the river call I could have played the hand better but when it's for the amount of money that was at stake it really does make the game a lot tougher!!! Posted by waller02

But the river Jam looked FOS, they hardly ever have queen x here (or better).

At least we managed a couple of winners KEITH....I dont know if you backed PESLIER to be top jockey but that put me in profit, though it was a bit nervy as EMMA-JAYNE WILSON only had to finish in first 5 in the last race to beat him.....thankfully she failed.
I was having some real joke beats today in the earlier sats for tonights Main B/H, but kept plugging away and eventually managed to get in (cost me £12 all told),
and I was going great guns in the Top 20 with 15K 'til I hit 2 pair (Q's+3's)on the flop(Q-6-3) in BB, against Neil/Nigel (can never remember)Slater, who I know is aggro, and he shoved (10K) so I called .......and he had Q's+6's.
Still I already had 3 Bounty's so made another profit

Yeah i'd snap call riv but in the heat of the moment and for the cash they are playing for its never easy and i'd probably use my time in the spot
