This hand is deep into the mini roller, i'm sitting 8/11 with 8 cashing. The villain had been on table about 20 mins and had open shoved twice in that time.

They shove in the small blind and i'm in the big blind with A8.....I thought I was ahead and even typed it in the chat box before calling. As you can see I lost the hand but surely if I think i'm ahead and I am ahead the call is right??? I am asking this because a debate between the villain and I followed with the villain saying my call was garbage. My argument was that I was confident I was ahead as I think A8 was ahead of their small blind shoving range. This hand really tilted me as I tried to defend and explain my call just to be told it was a bad call.

So, who else would have called in my spot, opinions please.

With that history it's a good call.....

Sucks abit that you get a guy intent on forcing u to play a high risk game around the bubble, but you can't keep folding, and A8 is enough....

Although normally they have it the third time, but even if he's shoving a legit hand here, A8 is still in decent shape most of the time.

there are situations where even if you are 100% sure you have the best hand, the correct decision is to fold. i dont think this is one of them

The guy has shoved twice in 20mins at table, doesnt show him to be a maniac or mean hes trying to exploit people on the bubble.

I prob call, but I can see arguments for folding 15BB deep especially if you can steal in other spots easily around the bubble

Wow tricky spot, if you were like <10 bb's deep I would snap but I personally would rather let this go with 15 bb's but that's because I'd prefer being the shover, am probably too tight in that view though.

villain dependant but without reads to say he's very tight its a call - a good player will be shoving very wide in this spot
