I fold here. You've committed £0 in the hand.

There is a lot more reasons to fold than call in my eyes.

SOOOO often villian has big pair there, there was a big thread on 2+2 about overshoving big pairs as the amount of times you get a call with 99+ is scary. My mate grinds NL200 and makes this move quite often.

You will find better spots to get your money in with JJ than calling a 40BB open shove.

if your friend grinds nl200 and is open shoving monsters 100bb deep then he is special in the head.

After a limp then shove I snap this off. Just make a note for next time.

lol there are some merits to do this overshoving but honestly it's a massive gamble that someone has a hand that will call - and playing cash you gotta be loosing a lot of value over time

So yeah LOL_RAISE is gotta be right he must be special in the head

I think in MTT's it's not a bad strategy as anyone with a pocker pr will put you on AK but you gotta see a raise before you - open shoving monsters seems to be the opposite of what you should be doing ie. extracting max value

HONESTLY, the number of loose calls you get from idiots, and especially drunken idiots on a Fri/Sat night is ridiculous. Ive seen it with my own eyes lol (on iPoker network).

Dont get me wrong....he doesnt do it every time, I should maybe have made that clearer, but its a tactic that has got paid off sooooo often.

Check out my thread Rob, SB BB JJ vs KK unreal. Slightly different as you were further in. Hindsight is wonderful but putting myself in that spot (If i was close to the money) I would fold :-S
