I have just had an e mail stating LPC(London poker circuit) is back and on the 23rd of this month they are staging a 50.00 one rebuy and one add on torn.

I have played about 10 of these and yes they are gr8 value BUT there was never any cash games or sng so if your out its taxi,, hope the new venue at the sportsman shows they can get there 150 max runners i have my doubts tho as b 4 it wasnt run very well, this time its dealer dealt so fingers crossed for the LPC i wont hold my breath tho, i will attend the 23rd and hope its maxed out any one else attending?

I'd be interested in giving this another shot. I played at only two of their venues and had mixed experiences. The first one (after Poker In The Park at Leicester Square), was brilliant... Maybe because I came 5th and cashed! It was at a Hotel in Holborn and was run superbly. The dealers were great too (one of them was an EPT dealer I think).

I then went to, what turned out to be the last one, at Kensington Close, and I'm afraid I can't be as effusive about that one, so probably best to stop the gossip right there. But the team that run it seem to be a good lot, and passionate about what they do, and the standard of play was great. I'd certainly be up for going.

You're correct, there's no side action, but your going to be so close to so many other games and casinos I don't think it matters that much.

The guys that run LPC are very nice, & straight as a die, but not experienced in running Events.

However, with the move to the Sportsman, you will at least be able to have Cash Games.

The problem with The Sportsman, unfortunately, is space, or lack of it. They can only manage 6 or 8 Tables comfortably, anything above that & it's very cramped.

It does have a splendid Restaurant, though!

If you want well-run (& street-legal) Tournaments, The Vic is the only viable option in Central London. They have a nice selection of Tourneys these days. The Vic is not my cup of tea, tbh, but it's a right grand Cardroom, it cannot be denied. And 100% deffo a better option than LPC whatever way you look at it.
