Hi all,

Switch on channel 865 at 8pm and you'll see four hours of action from the £5k Sky Roller and the £12k Bounty Hunter. Everyone's favourite lolpro will be in the house, alongside our special guest star (back by popular demand)...

Redmond 'lolufold' Lee

Questions for Reds should be e-mailed to skyopen@bskyb.com or posted in this forum thread. We'll be focussing on heads-up strategy this evening, so any contributions on this specific form of Hold'em are most welcome.

Other topics we'll be discussing on the show include:

* The fast-paced nature of six-max tournaments
* The 'Girah' cheating scandal
* The new Epic Poker League

Any thoughts on the above? Post away. And please feel free to add to our agenda of poker-related talking points. Also, for a bit of fun, make sure you answer this question:

What's the best summer day out in the UK?

Alton Towers? Legoland? Brighton Pleasure Beach? Your suggestions, please!

    If there were high stakes (£5/£10, £10/£20 +) Heads Up TV tables on the site would Redmond ever play on them and would Sky Poker ever think of televising them?

    If the answer is No and No then thanks for your time.  Move along.

    James I've just spent an hour reading up on this Girah scandal and it is truly shocking that someone with the poker world at his feet can blow it all for $30,000. What makes no sense at all is that in a previous post on 2+2 in February Girah announces his total winnings at $1.624 million, so 30 grand is chicken feed. If he felt so bad about his friend losing money that he had to run this scam surely he could have given him the  $30,000 himself? I can't see anyone ever trusting this guy again.
    Good luck with the show and great to see Redmond back in the studio.

    Hi James and tikay

    I think my best day out is visiting the seaside,  Skeggy/Chapel St Leonards.

    i am sure that i saw girah being interviewed on sky news this morning outside jb sports in clapham junction.  holding a boxed pair of adidas trainers he explained that it's wasn't his fault and he was simply demonstrating against those who had previously taken money off his mate.

    HU question for Redmond....

    Often when watching him play hu on the site, I see him play "new players" and go 2 or 3 buy ins down before inevitably winning it all back and more.

    Does he accept that this is just standard stuff for a HU game against new opponents? Or is there something more to it, that he feels might be a leak in his game?

    Maybe playing too loose early against newbies?
    or not concentrating 100% from hand 1?
    Maybe he speculates abit to gather early reads?
    Or is he just a hustla?

    Got loads more questions if I'm allowed to abuse the thread, ave a gud en ;)

    A day out at the races (A smaller venue like Southwell is best) with a mate or two! Is my idea of a good summers day out even better if I break even or make a profit!

    theres is a lot more to this story than meets the eye.

    recent theories have suggested that this was a long con and that 'Girah' was a front man for a group of other people.  all of his coaching/posts on poker were apparently written by others and 'Girah' himself was no more skilled than your average mid stakes grinder.

    Read with interest the Girah scandal and added it to all the others, I remember Justin Bonomo multi accounting and didn't Brian Townsend get a ban for sharing hand histories once? Smaller scale I know but with the unrest in the Internet poker world it doesn't help the sceptics!

    Best day out this summer was a trip to Watchet in Somerset, little fishing visit with a Steam Train to Minehead, quaint station, Tikay heaven, he will of seen the tweets! Nice real ale pubs and fresh seafood restaurant, was lovely!

    That's an interesting theory Scotty. I know when Girah "himself" posted on 2+2 for the first time that there were a few ideas thrown around that it didn't quite ring true and he wasn't quite who he said he was. If he is just a front man it is quite worrying as to how deep this does go. The poker world is in a very bad way at the moment what with Black Friday and this doesn't help at all. Thank god for Sky poker!
