HI guys,
Been playing well lately in MTT's (e.g. 4th and an 8th) Mostly as a result of the advice from the clinic!!
This hand is from a £2:20 BH 311 runners. There were 8 left and I was 4th in chips. 2 x tables of 4.
THe chip leader was on the other table and had 120k. There were 2 x small stacks also on the other table 22k & 37k. I knew if I kept my nose clean I'd make the final table, although felt I was playing well enough to possible win! I'd taken 7 heads in the previous 40 mins despite not having taken any in the first 2 hours!
SB had been nicking blinds a fair bit and when I got a decent hand this happened. Felt if I raised I was pot committed anyway, and made the decision to shove.
Q's Was I wrong to gamble? Should I have waited? Had I opened my playing range too wide?
Q. What general advice would you give me at this stage in the tourney? (other than PATIENCE!)

try not to tighten up too much to try and 'sneak' into the money - consider others are often doing this to - bit surprised you got called to be honest but i guess low buy in
I don't think you did anything wrong here, against a player you had identified as nicking your blinds a fair bit, and A9 4 handed is very playable.
It was either push or fold, you could not have called, and to be fair to a re-raise from you his call was marginal apart from the fact they only had 5/6 big blinds after their bet.
This might be the only advise i would give, as you played this ok, look at the stack sizes of your opponents as this may help to see if your bet will get them to lay down.
col
you could fold pre and nit up but hey ho in they go
