Interesting trend picked up this week:

This exact sequence has happened to me 3 times this week: 1 in DTD on Monday, Last night in Mini & again 5 mins ago.

AK vs AJ all in pre  - flop: Kxx

Turn: Q

River: 10

In exactly that order no 10 then Q

Come on then Maths Bods what are the odds of that?

Am I more likely to be stuck by lightning? - I bet its a close thing!

    Preflop your 70% favourate to win
    after the flop the odds are 32% chance of the Queen or 10 hitting
    Once you reach the river your at 8% chance of hitting the next card you need

    so your looking at 37.6 : 1 are the odds of hitting it lol

    well the odds of hitting a runner runner with 8 outs is 37.6 : 1

    Which without a calculator to hand is approx 133:1 ?

    multiplied by the odds of Kxx flop (without a Q or 10)

    Multiplied by 3 occasions

    It's another 1 of those that's not even worth thinking/worrying about.

    Like, what are the odds of me being dealt A2, 74, 85, K4, 77,  J6 in 6 consecuative hands?

    Or what are the odds of Man United winning 1-0 1 week, then 2-0 the next, then 4-1 the next, then drawin 1-1 the next etc etc etc.

    What are the odds of flipping a coin 10 times and it coming H,T,H,T,H,T,H,T,H,T ?
