If I'm doing well on one table & I cash out & join another, does that count as Ratholing? I haven't, but the thought has crossed my mind.... I just wanted to check in the views before I did anything which might be misconstrued as dodgy. Posted by PuppetJack

You can do whatever you like it's your money. The only thing is why would you want to ? The only good reasons to do this are 1- your bankroll is really low and there are bigger stacks still at the table and/or 2- Your opponents are better players and you doubled up getting lucky. Even so you can still do whatever.
nah theres a whole diff game strategy dedicated to to shortstacking and ratholing, but relies on fold equity and getting a good knowledge on hand ranges
it can really pi** ppl off, if after every raise they make u shove over them
its hugely variant and u need proper BR management, but then it also allows to play higher stakes than usual
Is ratholing not where you take chips off the table and continue playing? Impossible to do online afaik
Obv its your decision when you want to leave the table. As black mass says it shouldnt be something you generally want to do if you are up money. However if you tilt easily or on a bad run I think leaving and locking in profit isnt a bad short term strategy. Also while its obv legit, everyone hates hit & runners.

Personally i don't care about this either. The ones that annoy me are those that immediately sit out till they get booted. Like everyone will think they'll be back in a bit and they aren't hitting and running. Just blocks a seat for 3 orbits tho. By that time everyone will have totally forgotten, till the next time. Yeah right, genius.
yeah i think it does count as ratholing OP, but there's nothing 'wrong' with it, can be seen as unethical and does get frustrating if you have lost money to them.
no that's 'going south' grantorino i believe. yeah i think it does count as ratholing OP, but there's nothing 'wrong' with it, can be seen as unethical and does get frustrating if you have lost money to them. Posted by LOL_RAISE
