Fancy a laugh? Play some Oma-ha then.....

It's about time we had another bash at revving up some Omaha action on Sky Poker.

We tried a year or so ago, not to much effect, in truth, but with the huge increase in traffic on the Site generally in the last 12 months, I've been tasked with having another little Omaha splurge. ("splurge" is a trade term, obv.....).

I had an evening on the Omaha Cash Tables last week, & we soon got 3 Tables full, good fun, too.

So it's "rinse- repeat" tonight. Just 5p-10p, & 10p-20p, let's keep it accessible for the lower-staked players for now.

It is NOT my PTP night, & anyway, I prefer not to play Omaha Cash on my PTP Account, as the game IS very swingy, so I'll be on my private account, "tikay1".

See a few of you later, I hope.

For those who prefer Omaha Tourney or SNG action, I'm happy to play a few of those, too, any stakes.

We have had several requests for a "bigger" Omaha Tourney, too, so look out for a £1,000 Guaranteed Omaha Tourney, to run once a week, which might even start later this week.

    All good, methinks.....

    Hi Elly,

I find it quite disorientating to try & play regular Omaha, & Hi-Lo, at the same time, but if you like, I'll start with an hour of Hi-Lo before moving on to High Only if that helps.

Good point actually Tikay it does get confusing.

I've recently started playing omaha and hi/lo after you recomended a book on it in your Vegas blogs (great stuff btw). There's a good omaha community growing on the site with beginners at the 2/4 tables, gambling intermediates at the 5/10 and 10/20 then the super aggro pros at 25/50. Coxylboro is great to watch!

On a last point, do you think 10 seater tables have a chance of being added for omaha as the 6max games tend to break really quickly.

hi tk i love regular Omaha why don't you put a main event say £22 on. and televise it , im sure that would crate interest in a game of real skill

Right, let's get started with some Hi-Lo, I'll sit at one table each of 2p-4p, 5p-10p, & 10p-20p,  & see how it goes.

Later - or earlier if no action - I'll go onto the regular Omaha tables.

Please note I cannot chat much whilst 2 & 3 Tabling Omaha, sorry.

Don't forget "Thews @ Ten" later, too, I'll deffo be in that.

Omaha tourney sounds great, count me in.
Depending on the buy in you could run sats to it as well.
Could you do this on a regular night of the week as a "take on tikay"? Or something similar?
Any chance of any Omaha side events on the SPT's?

I love PLO and Limit holdem, as all the skill is in the post flop play.

Details of the new Omaha Tourney will be released tomorrow (Wednesday).

It will be weekly to begin with, but if the demand is there, there is no reason why it cannot be bi-weekly, thrice weekly, or even nightly.

We need to grow these things over time, & the demand for Omaha needs nurturing, hence I'm doing these "fun" Omaha nights, such as tonight, for a while. The more players we can attract to Omaha, the more Tourneys we can have, it's that simple.
