ok so heres the story, i was studying the heads up game for quite some time and i was very confident in my game, so i thought id give it a go, then with half an hour BOOM. Lost 6 buy ins in the blink of an eye, im going to put the hands up where i lost the majority of the buy ins, and i would like advice on them please, be has HARSH as you need to be, i need to know where i went wrong, opponant was very aggressive and was always in my face playing back at me, i think this has knocked my confidence so much im going to have a week off and come back with a clear head.

hu is  brutal , swings can be massive, plus as well there are very good aggressive players at lower levels. from what i can see you came up against a pretty good op who was hitting flops hard and you paid him off. like i say it can be brutal.

Hand 1 - I would flat the bet on the flop.

Hand 2 - I dont think you did very much wrong this hand, could of possibly re-raised after hitting King on flop.

Hand 3 - I wouldnt of done anything different to your play here

Hand 4 - You have said so yourself :(

    Hand 1) Played fine UL

Hand 2) I dont think you should be going broke here unless you think they stack of with 2nd pair and worse, think you played fine up until when you call his shove pretty easy fold IMO

    H3) UL played fine again

H4) Not a flop you want to be c betting, most people wont believe you have flopped a flush so its not really representing it. once you get called they always have something so tilt shove on turn imo

couple of coolers there but other 2 played bad, maybe if you watch a few hu games your not involved that could help

Tikay always stresses the benefit of studying Heads Up tables before you play.
The best players on Sky use the heads up/dym to increase their bankroll which is why you got skinned alive by a very good player.
Myself I'm rubbish at cash and mtt  but I do know the players to avoid.
I also believe that when the cards run against you. No matter how well you play your cards, miracles happen for your opponent.
My advice for which I will probably be riddiculed is:
Spend a lot of time watching the tables you intend to play make note of the frequent winners and avoid them like the plague until you get into their mindset and can compete at at least an equal level.

I would also suggest you read all the previous comments that have been posted already on the forum.

Enter a few low level MTT and Satellites to have fun. to study future opponents and more importantly regain your confidence.

Some of the Guys and Girls on here play well enough to win WSOP bracelets never ever underestimate the talent on the site and whats more they play at all levels!

    I wish you well!

hi robyoung.iv,e had similar confidence problems as yourself so know exactly how you are feeling.like you said taking some time off is a good idea.as the other guys have said it can be tough espesially when you,ve not really done much wrong....but that,s poker.i myself took a break from my usual cash games, played some cheap dym,s freerolls, etc and basically had some fun because at the end of the day that,s what it should be isn,t it?i,m now back playing cash again and touch wood, winning a few quid.you know what they all say about patience, well it,s true i guess.stick with it matey and you,ll be fine.....oh,and good luck
