I  have checked online for casino poker tourneys and i play at dusk til dawn every now and again but does any1 know of some good poker venues particularly near derby? I have just moved here for university and so far have only joined rileys Ace of Clubs league with an £11 buy in.  Looking for regular higher stakes. Any help/advice would be great. TY.

You could try Stanleys in Derby, but they may have stopped laying Poker now - DTD have pretty much killed off all he local Carcrooms.

In Nottingham, there is Gala, & Alea, but I would not recommend either. Not to be overly critical, but I would not go overboard about playing in Rileys, to be honest.

I know it might seem a bit of a pain having to go across the A52 to Nottingham (about 10 miles) but in DTD, you have, quite simply, a Cardroom unparalleled in the world. Make the effort, you won't regret it.
