Having gone this far with the hand, should I have fired again?

This is the hand that did the major damage to my mini primo tonight.

In all honesty I think the real answer is don't try to get too creative, but I'd be interested to hear opinions on firing the river, I did have a suspicion he might be chasing the flush:

Strategy for a stack that size aside, yeah, i think the villains check, call on the flop gives a good indication of a flush draw, if the next card is a dud then fire again, and again on the river if the flush doesnt hit. Doesnt always work though, its risky!

I'm not getting too creative with that stack though.

If your making the move you need to bet the turn really, i would prefer open fold or raise more pre even if its 2100 the min bet looks weak.
If you raise higher pre he would likely fold that sort of hand aswell

You voluntarily put money in the pot from a starting stack of  9 big blinds, and you still have money behind by the river.

    This should never happen.

    Shove or fold pre!!!!

I know I played it really bad, to be honest he'd been a little unpredictable and all over the place and I fully expected the bet on the flop to take down the pot as in my mind it said I wasn't folding.  The problem benig I had no back up plan for what happens if he calls.

On reflection, you're absolutely right Dohhhhhh, just too little attention payed to stack size

Where tf is the small blind.

    Trick question!

Ok, you 3bet from a stack of 18xbb and still have chips left at the end of the hand!!

    That still shudn't happen!!!!
