I THOUGHT I NEW ALL THE RULES IN NL HOLDEM BUT THIS HAS HAPPEND TO ME A FEW TIMES NOW AND IT HAS ME BAFFLED!!!! WAS PLAYING A TOURNEY, CANT REMEMBER THE WHOLE POSISTION OF THE TABLE BUT IM ON THE BUTTON WITH POCKET 3S, BLINDS 10-20, ONE GUY RAISES TO 90, GUY BEHIND CALLS THEN SO DO I SO WERE 3 WAY TO THE FLOP, FLOP COMES 4 6 3, FIRST TO ACT BETS OUT 120, GUY BEHIND CALLS SO I RE-RAISE TO 500, GUY BEHIND PUSHES THE REST OF HIS STACK IN ABOUT 700 CHIPS AND GUY BEHIND THEN CALLS HIM, I HAVE A ROUND ABOUT 2100 LEFT SO JUST WANT TO PUSH ALL IN BUT THE BAR WOULD ONLY LET ME CALL!!!  WHY IS THIS????

The all-in guy was an under raise needed to be 1000+ for you to go over the top.

Player bets 120 and you call & raise 380 to 500 total. The next raise has to be >= your raise of 380 or >= your total bet of 500 (depending on rules of this particular game. Most use the former rule). A shove for 700 does not meet either criteria therefore (as belsibub said) it's an under-raise so you can only call when the action is back on you.

I think its a fair point to ask OP to refrain, but can i ask why Debs responded in that manner? I know debs and she a nice person usually but i think that was also a bit harsh especially as OP is obviously a new player.

It has been explained on here alredy and best of luck at the tables
