Pysterman Call  £1.14
With a tight player or a regular I'd probably fold here, assuming QQ, KK or AA.

With a player that had been shoving regularly, I'd definitely call.

This was very early after sitting at the table, so I had no reads, other that the fact that the guy was playing with a short stack.

So, with no reads, do you think this is a good call at this level?

getting nearly 2/1 with AK v unknown I would snap. You cant 3bet unless you intend calling it off this shallow

Well its an easy call with the stack sizes , but would you call if say it was nl10 and they are 70bb's deep ??

Cos usually at nl10 with a shove like that it IS AA or KK

Of course it's a call. I don't even think I fold to a tight player at this level when he's so shallow. It's too late once you've raised, it's only £1 to call the shove to win a £2 pot.

at 2p/4p level im not being rude they not the best of players so when some 1 goes all in it might not be the best of hands might be gambling but anyway ak is a snap call here all day long the villain could be doing this with aq a j  or even a 10 and any medium pair is a flip so happy days i say

im snapping off 200BB pre with AK at NL4 v most villans tbh. Very few im folding to.

Yeah good spot pod. Best advise finding a better table unless theres a serious fish on this one imo. Ive had Tommy and JJ sharing a table with me and literally because of the game type of NL4 theres no edge for any of us. Although i think the 3 of us know eachother non-NL4 very well anyways. However i only stayed on those tables (2 occassions) because there was a major fish.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks for the comments people. Now I look at it again I see that is a correct call, given the pot odds and the likelihood that I'm dominating (or at least ahead). I'm still learning.

So, let me ask another question... was the re-raise OK? Or should I have just shoved after his initial raise?

(Looking back, this was literally his first hand at the table. You can see that he posted an 'extra' BB in order to join the hand.)

Yh reraise is fine, you just have to realise when you make the 3bet you are NEVER folding to shove like here.

Re-raise is good, it'll be too big a raise to just shove and you're gonna get all them worse hands like A10 to fold

Absolutely fine. Re raise is good, very easy call. If you didnt want to call his shove with A,K then you shouldnt have re raised and just peeled a flop but the way you played it is far far better. Well played.
