Hi all!

Wow October 1st and it is suuuuper hot today.  Hope you will be joining us tonight for loads of cash and Top of the Pots.  It will be a special show tonight as there will be 2 ladies tonight...poor Tikay!

As always we will have a couple of topics running tonight, 

1. Get your geek on.... what do you geek out over!??  
This is with regards to my recent tweets to Tikay about motorway services and train stations... both of which I actually do share his love with! who knew!!
I also geek out over Lenses, photoshop, collecting and keeping my elle magazines in order of date and movies

2. educational topic...
how do you deal with poker 'loud mouths' in the chatbox, or at the table?? Does it sometimes help your game having someone like that on your table? Are you sometimes that person at the table?

OK see you soon, this week, I hosted a poker game for Manutd players...(they were mediocre at best!) and lost a memory card with an entire shoot on it (the pain...)

    Looking forward to the show & welcome to Sky Poker, Jen.

    The main things I geek over is Guitars & Blues Music ... although I may switch to trains and service stations because I'm very close to Crewe and also equidistant between Keele & Sandbach services - Jealous, Tikay?

    Deffo "geek out" when people mis-quote or mis-use classic sitcom 1 liners, jokes, or gags.

    And also, even tho I talk my own language being a Yorkshireman, like TK, I also geek out when people mis-use the English language. Not pronunciation, just using the wrong words, normally southerners who can't wait to tell people that "they dun it". 

    Also, on the theme of the English language, (maybe going off on one) these poker playing plonkers who "did a win", "did a bink" or "did a get there", reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wind me up.

    You didn't.

    He really should learn to keep his gob shut. Then he'd probably alot slimmer, and wud probably still have his chat privilidges too ;)

    Couple of questions for tonights guest....

    1) In general, how would you rate your follow poker bloggers, journo's and reporters in terms of actual poker ability? If the question is abit vague, How good is Dave Blande at poker???

    2) Why don't more women play poker?

    3) If every single online poker site made players varify their gender, then allocated them a blue avatar if they were male, and a red avatar for females, how do you think this would change online poker, and inparticular, your own win-rate?

    4) If you asked a friend if they would like to be taught how to play poker, and they totally dismissed the idea, what would you say to them to try and change their mind?

    5) Who is the best all round female poker player in the world?

    SHOUT OUT if I may?    For Padraig Parkinson to get better after his recent health scare... one of poker's best characters. Follow him on twitter but it's hard to find a twit that is broadcastable but I think I got one "French cardiologist muttered something about 2 drinks a day as I left hospital.I didnt feel like it but I had them anyway"

    1 /> What do I geek out over ?

    Anything to do with great design, be it gadgets, cars, buildings, websites, basically anything that has a purpose, does the job it's made to do well, looks nice and breaks a few boundaries.

    I'm also a fellow Photoshop geek and I spend far too much time and money buying hi-fi gear.

    2 /> How do I deal with loudmouths ?

    I do the typically british thing of ignoring them. I sometimes make a comment if I win alot of chips off them but more often than not, a simple smile and a thankyou winds them up enough.

    Would never be seen being geeky, totally not my image.

    2. Dealing with poker loud mouths.

    Live - just ignore them, if they are busy shouting their mouth off they're too busy paying attention to the cards.

    Online - laugh at them getting wound up over a game which is supposed to be fun.

    Hello all and have a great show.

    I geek out big time over wrestling and have done for as long as I can remember.  I have a fairly extensive DVD and magazine collection and I'm off to Wrestlemania for the second year in a row next year.  All I need to do now is to bink a tourney or two too pay for it lol. 

    I like having loudmouths in the chatbox, gives me something to laugh at. 

    If you are ever in my area then you may enjoy a visit to the Rushden transport museum.  It is situated in a 1894 station, the year of Tikay's birth if I remember correctly, and is full of old railway and transport memrobelia.  Not only that, entrance is free!!!  http://www.rhts.co.uk/ if you are interested.

    Really looking forward to the show tonight.  Love Miss Mason's work, she's one of the most intelligent people in poker.

    I'd love to hear her opinion on a thought I have?  I personally think that while the events of Black Friday have effectively closed down internet poker in the United States, when these events are settled and the Internet Gaming Act repealed, there are Casino based companies using the black out as a reboot and will pump a lot of money into new pokersite launches to make a grab for a huge market share in the internet poker market.  Sites we've never heard of will become the biggest pokersites in 5 or 6 years or so.
