Hand 1: This is awful play by me. Don't know what I was thinking. I'm not beating anything that's going to raise my bet and he's certainly not folding when I push.

a lot of hands here m8, jj in hindsight its allways easy to reflect and think you could fold, but very difficult in game in this scenario.....the kq its best to check there imo you prob get more value from bluffs tbh.

the 33 i would prefer to raise pre....in a limped pot people tend to believe that you could have a strong hand when you show strength and get mediocre hand to fold,.. still in the mentality to set mine ovc, thats my opinion tho.

a bit unlucky in a few hands there m8..its quite hard to criticise you there bud..

JJ - I would bet less on turn, not sure if I could fold though.

910s - pre ok, river only losing to one card but I'm not sure if they bet anything less than J here maybe I'm wrong plus it's a pot bet.

    33 - fine.

KQ - I would probably bet bout £1.60 on turn, river after c/c on turn you gotta do same surely, betting out after checking turn is a little strange.

44 - defo raise flop to like £1.90 imo, bet turn bigger bout £2.20, river fine.

9T hand: I very nearly did fold (hence the call saving me £2.55 by not shipping) but I just couldn't bring myself to fold the second nuts after flopping a straight with a re-draw and flushing on the turn. If I were playing his hand then I would have raised the flop and then it all goes in on the flop anyway.

With the jacks I was putting him on AT or some sort of draw. I wanted to charge him to his his flush/straight. Can he make this same move with AdTd for example? He has top pair top kicker plus 17 outs to improve his hand (diamonds, aces, tens and fives).

The fours I thought that if I raised the flop then I would be telegraphing my hand (what other hands could raise that flop apart from the hand my opponent has?) I was hoping for a blank turn where I would bet about £2 to make it look like I was trying to nick the pot with a draw, jack's a terrible card. Once the river make the four card straight and back door flush I have given up on the hand, but of course I call the comedy bet on the end.

I've just graduated from NL4 this weekend and was up 5 buy-ins after yesterday evening's session session. Lost £27 today I just wanted to make sure that I'm not playing like a fish. Last night I got it in behind a couple of times when in hindsight I could have got away from it (didn't matter though because I binked it on the river ;-).

Also how many tables should I be playing. I was playing 8 NL4 tables so playing just two tables makes me bored and I start playing too many hands. More tables and I can't get reads on my opponents

Hand 1 - JJ) Pretty unlucky really, had to give him too much credit for a striaght imo, agree with whoever said to bet smaller ~£2 would be better, gives him more room to bluff/call with smaller pairs etc. Pretty sure i'd stack off here unless the guy was playing really solid, I think at small stake holdem you get a LOT of people blindly clicking buttons in spots like this.

Hand 2 - 9T) DEFO open this hand preflop, plays really really well IP, river is ugly, and i agree when they bet POT here they are polarised to nuts or air, and tbh most of the time it's gonna be nuts because this is not a good spot to bluff and your range DOES have high flushes in it. would fold here I think but don't blame you for calling.

Hand 3 - 33) Nice hand, think you played it great - betting is much better than chk/calling turn/river because I think the oppo will chk back some stuff he will call off, and he is always betting/calling with better hands so we get weaker parts of his range to put more money in when we bet. I would bet the turn a bit bigger though, charge big clubs a bit more and hopefully fold a few out.

Hand 4 - KQ) played very well, I like to chk/call the turn here when we have the Qc, and I can't see much value to betting the river but DEFO calling if he bets. Nice Hand

Hand 5 - 44) nicely played again, would be interested to hear WHY you leadthe turn, but I do like the line a lot - would bet bigger thogh, ~£2, try get some vaue. river is a bad-ish card - think I would prefer to bet-and fold to a raise over chk call because I think we let a lot of big 1pairs chk back for free now, as it happens the player lets of out of any tough decision by betting so small

Reason I raise 44 on flop is MANY players at NL10 will NOT fold TP on flop/straight draw to any bet and by raising you're getting value and also makes pot bigger to allow you to legitimatally shove turn or bet to commit yourself, also don't worry about 'telegraphing your hand' most players imo still don't give too much thought to the game at this level, obvz if you're playing a REG here than it could be different but I'd still raise as we have best hand and want to get money in the pot.

I only play 4 tables currently as any more I struggle with/have to have overlap on screen but if you used to play 8 tables you're best off playing as many as possible as 2 I'd imagine is torture lol.

1- fine given stacksize although I bet turn smaller and hate it when he raises

2- bet flop a bit bigger, prob sighfold river without reads

3- raise pre, bet turn bigger

4- I bet turn as played c/c river

5 - c/r flop (I dont mind leading either). I dont see much reason to lead flop after c/c turn, if you do bet make it bigger. river fine imo
