In Response to Re: LJAMESL leaves team sky poker : Probably be best if we don't get into comments like that.  That "grapevine" was not Sky Poker, as only 2 people, Rich Milner & myself, were party to the conversations with James. Which begs the question where did they come from, if they existed at all...... James had a 12 month Contract, & it was fully honoured by both parties. The Contract Term has ended. He was offered an extension on broadly similar terms, taking everything into account, & after some thought, he decided it was time to move on, so wrote & told us. His note was polite, deferential, & showed much gratitude. We accepted his decision not to accept the offered extension in good heart & spirit, & James wrote Rich Milner & myself a really lovely note thanking Sky Poker for everything, & suggesting he would remain "onside" with all of us here @ Sky Poker. We (Rich Milner & myself, seperately) replied in kind. So "the grapevine" is a little mysterious, to be honest...... People come & go, in their jobs, & in poker. It's the natural order of things. There has been no war, James wants to better himself & decided to move on.   We absolutely wish James, (& indeed all the Swindon Massive, you included), the very best, wherever he plays his poker. The new Team Sky Poker line up will be announced in the next 24 hours, including permanent Members, Wild Cards, & Qualifiers. It'd be preferable if the Thread concentrated on wishing James well in the future.

He remains the West Country assassin !  The Jenson Button of poker.
Good luck to him i say for the times that mindless aggression is simply not enough.
Oooh Arghhh it's a massacre ! Get in you heathens ! Henge !
How many broken hearts does he leave behind him ? We may never again obtain reports of people having " pork chop " sideburns and being "gay".
Sky is a poorer place without him !   :(...................

    Hello

I would of replied sooner but I've been playing live tonight.

1st of all, I would like to thank you all for your lovely messages and kind wishes. I appreciate them all and they are really kind.

2ndly I'd just like to clarify something that was mentioned earlier in the thread. I want to make it clear that I have no bad feelings towards Sky or any of the staff. I have alot of admiration for many of the people here at Sky Poker. They've always been good to me in my time with them and I like to think I returned the favour to them aswell. If it wasn't for them I would of never of been able to win the SPT Grand final and I'm sure in return I gave them alot of good publicity also so it was a win-win situation.

I have made many friends on Sky through the SPT's, shows and many more and it will always remain as one of my favourite sites. I wish Sky and everyone who works with them all the best for the future and hope it remains a success in years to come.

I personally decided the deal was no longer right for me and I wanted to try some new things out. Firstly I would like to better myself as a player and try to venture out there, playing tournaments around europe and the world such as EPTs and it wasn't really possible with Sky. Maybe one day it will be though and I hope it is.

I also want to play bigger cash games on mutiple tables and sometimes the action is limited for me here, which is a shame because I obviously love playing on the site and would choose to play here if the bigger games ran regularly. Again thats something I believe will improve here in the future as Sky expands as a business.

So after putting that all together I decided to leave the Team, I will still play on Sky Poker just not as much as I used too and I also try to attend SPT's whenever I can.

I wish Sky every success in the expansion of the site. You have a cracking community on here and some fantastic people.

Good Luck to you all and I'm sure I'll see alot of you again soon

Best of luck in your poker future. It's good that you want to broaden your horizons and you still have ambitions as a player, just a shame that Sky can't fulfill them but I'm sure one day Sky will compete with the bigger sites.
