Registered for ukops 3 but cannot play!

Hi, I won a sat. for entry to the £110 £10k deepstack on 2nd Nov, however since then things have changed and I won't be able to play on that night. I spoke to somebody on chat as to my options, he didn't seem to know what he was doing and after a while he said I can be entered into a £10 tourny, obviously I dont want to swop a £10 seat for a £110 one, I'm thinking the only option is get my dad to play it, and he is rubbish at poker lol.

    Speak to customer service again, i dont think the forum can help you bud. If you cant settle it via chat ask to speak to someone else

    I have accepted that I can't do anything tbh, although seems a bit tight. Just wondering what to do, whether I should give a friend my log in details or let my dad play so I'm not going through the tourny just blinding out, either way I have a zero chance of cashing lol

    Customer care almost always come up with something when this kinda thing happens.

    They might be worried about overlay in the UKOPS and decide to be stricter, but I'd be surprised if they can't offer you some sort of alternative.

    When you are registering 2 weeks in advance via satellites it really is unacceptable that you cannot de-register if something crops up that prevents you playing. There should be some mechanism whereby you can take tournament tokens to the same value.



    Giving a friend your log in details and having them play it will not be looked upon favourably.

    just a thought but not sure if possiible some always buys in maybe they can pay you for the seat ???

    I have spoke to them twice (not sure if it was the same person as I didnt catch the first ones name) and got the same response, I can either be registered for a £10 tourny or play another ukops event which I can't do.

    It seems strange that I can't either register for another £110 tourny or get £110, the operator just kept saying you only paid £12 for it so we are not going to give you a £110 seat, he didn't seem to understand that I played a lot of other players who all paid £12 for hours to win the seat.

    Anyway, don't wanna make a fuss, the point of my post was advice on what to do with the entry, I accept elsadog's comment that it would be looked upon unfavourably if I was to get someone else to play it, maybe I should just accept a £10 tourney and take it on the chin.

    No don't do that - email sky poker with details - offering a £10 seat in exchange for a £110 seat won in a satellite is not on.

    Seems pretty stupid imo.

    cant they just pop u in a thursday roller?
    they always make the gtd on a 5k roller and when ukops come round they've basically pocketed everyone who entered the £12 sat without having to give a seat. value for them surely.

    Usually i would 100% agree with this, but in these UKOPS satellites they have such value from overlay that sky obviously doesn't want to be abused by some people who would do it on purpose.

    But to OP keep trying with CC you'll get something sorted eventually, GL.
