Dont play alot of them and it really is micro stuff at the moment and i seem to be about break even. However, its so much fun i cant help myself. Thats why i wanted a few wise words from your good self, as i think i make too many errors short stacked as i am use to playing with 100xbb at cash. Thanks mate.

As for the hand, i have the right odds to call i am pretty sure and as you say, the ace probably gives me extra outs. I treble up if i hit and then can become a major pain in the bottom.

Thanks pad, i dont think i can really do too much wrong here in this spot. Cash, its an easy call imo, MTT, its for my tourney life. I am a tourney donk and am trying to sort my game out as i think i gamble too much and thats why i crash and burn too often.

Tough to do but you've got great odds to triple up (not great but ok odds to triple up if there's a set out there).  Yes you can't win the MTT yet but you can give yourself a huge foundation bearing in mind you could be on what the average stack will be with  just over 1/3 of the field left.  I would call but then again I love to gamble/play for the win (delete as appropriate).

I defo make these calls as a triple up early is a great foundation to build on , if i lose as others have said not much time invested so load another , then rinse and repeat until im busto ;))

all it takes is one player to have the set and ur odds arent quite so good. If you choose to play pre flop passivly which you and the AK guy did you should keep that mindset for hand. If either of you had raised pre Q3 is gone. If you raise you will prob find he has limped utg to get the raise to come back over the top then you can fold knowing your behind. Limping with these hands is bad especially early in the tournament when players want to play any 2 as they feel its cheap enough charge them and build your stack that way
