Tikay's told me it is Several years old, That explains a lot lol


I've just watched 15 mins of a mastercash repeat and pretty much everything said about DYMs was wrong, how old is that episode?

He stated that there is a poker points (although he probably meant league, which is still wrong) difference for the 1st 2nd and 3rd place finishers

That someone makes £2k a month on the 50p and £1 DYMs through C4P... simply not ever happening lol  That would be about 30,000 games a month...

Also he said that playing passive isn't likely to be profitable lol

So was that an outdated epissode? Or does trevor just make things up but not get corrected?

No worries. 865 needs a LOT of Content to fill 24/7, & on a tight budget, it's not easy.

865 is currently midst a big overhaul, with all sorts of changes in the pipeline, & hopefully, if Mother can cut the deal, some really interesting external poker Content, too.

There is quite a disconnect in the thinking of who 865 is aimed at, too. Besides the mantras of Entertainment, Education, Community & Promotion, it MUST also appeal to potential new viewers, people who do not currently play on Sky Poker. Addressing the captive market is fine, & very important, but driving new viewers, & thus sign ups & players, is just as important.

Given how much it costs to fund a dedicated TV Channel, including all the associated staff, both sides of the camera, it's a constant battle to justify it. Still, it was 5 years ago this month that we began developing the Channel, which eventually opened, iirc, in Jan/Feb 2007, & it's done it's job well, & the costs are now far, far less than originally. But still a lot......

All very understandable, hopefully this UKOPS malarky (and any other future plans you have hidden away) will bring in a bunch of new players and eventually a bigger budget for the channel

Is there any way they could put the air date in the "info" of the repeats?

Getting tired of the repeats being on.

If it is coming back,who will be playing?? alongside Redmond of course,he has to be first on list..

Would love to see a few hu sessions on this too..

I doubt 865 will ever get a bigger budget, but it can deliver more & better for less. It has to, simple as. If you first imagine how much it costs per annum, then think what Sky Poker could do with all that Cash, either via Player Promotions or whatever, or just keeping it & investing it in other areas of Poker, or indeed any of the SB&G family of companies, it's pretty scary, actually.

TX dates on repeats? No idea, I'll need to ask Mother. She's out of the office today, so bear with us, please.

1) Yes. Timing is currently being debated, but near-term. The idea of doing another one pre-Xmas was floated, but I think post-Xmas is more likely.

2) The player list has not been finalised, but most of the names have been pencilled in. It has to be kept "fresh", so some change or at least rotation is mandatory.

865 is still a very good watch during the live coverage so can't complain too much.

If this is possible that would help with confusion such as in my first post and also when they are talking about old events/promotions.

When we read a name out incorrectly on the Channel, we don't half get moaned at, people DO like their names spelt or spoken accurately, which, if you think about it, is quite right too. It's a personal thing......

Mr Citrone goes by the name of "Carlo", not "Carlos".
