I'd make it £10.

Couple of things to consider. First, he was BB and 3 bet you preflop, so he probably has a good hand. This means he's probably not aggressively pursuing the flush draw and unlikely to be on a straight draw.

My guess is two overcards or an overpair and he's trying to make his mark on the pot to follow up with his preflop raise. Reraise him here and try set him in on turn, if he has 10's good luck to him.

Edit: As to amount, anywhere 7-10 quid, min 3/4 pot.
